Burnt brisket ends can be to die for. But I have tried beef ribs and they just don't compare to pork ribs in my books. We smoked a couple chickens and a couple pork roasts over the 4th weekend and, chicken is pretty tasty also. Did them all in the same smoker at the same time. About 9 hours start to finish. Going to do the same this weekend as the kids and grand kids are coming over.

Yeah, I don't care for beef ribs. Not when pork ribs are so tender. I made some in a crock pot and the meat just fell off of the bones. I threw the spice drawer at it, so I don't remember what all I put in it. I did save the juices for the next time.

We have tried rattle snake once. Snow white meat and it taste like a nice sea bass. Very mild and good. Did not taste like chicken. No offense Mort!

Looks like a good start. Sparky doesn't care for them. He runs the other direction.

Skinned, deep fried and smothered in a good BBQ sauce and served with bacon and everyone on this and that other infamous thread would eat it in a heartbeat.

If you put a word cloud on that thread, Bacon would have the largest font methinks.

I tried rattle snake once. It was deep fried, grisly and oily. It was at a street fair, so it may not have actually been rattle snake. I mean, whose gonna check what kind and where it came from?

Have you noticed that everything deep fried and smothered in sauce tastes the same? Zucchini, cheese, rattlesnake -- roll it in breading, deep fry it and dip in sauce -- all taste alike.

That's not true Barb. Some taste like corn oil, some taste like peanut oil, etc.
