Ok mutants, I'm having a little problem here! Been without Internet for a few days, stopped at a MackeyD's for world connection and it seems I'm having a language problem. I have caught a bus, caught a train, caught a cold but never have I used the combination of wordage "caught a new mascot" in connection with rattlesnake! Yes, no doubt, this is a group of mutants.

It was homeless so Dogpatch took it in.
The poor thing didn't have a pit to hiss in.

But wasn't it a pit viper without a pot to hiss in?

About 1 1/2 hours ago I was standing 10 feet from a very large ELK grazing while there were at least 15 people of all ages taking pictures.
This was all happening next to a walk way that had very nice grass on one side and the EDGE of the Grand Canyon on the other.
The shocking part was this is a wild elk and it was 30 min after sundown and the people were taking pic using a FLASH and the elk just didn't care at all.
And my camera batts went dead 5 min before this.

Sounds like your making the best of your time off. Still planning our two week escape. Looks like a mid September getaway.

The air ride axle exceeded all expectations for ride improvement. I really think the reason for the good (smoother) ride is the fact that the bags are sized for a 20,000 lb axle and the rear axle weight on this vehicle is less than half that.(about 8200lbs at the last scale test)
When i get my pic of the install in my photobucket I'll post up the details on the swap.

This is the first time I have checked this thread but I am sure I belong here, among friends I didn't know I had. We went full time April 1st and I pointed the rig east from Calif and straight to Indiana. The wife complains that I ran straight towards MY family here in Indy but I assure you I was running away from hers in Calif. I'm now running away from mine and shooting for somewhere in the middle.
We live in a space 30x9 ft. Nix that ...we live in the space outside the door and sleep on the inside. We don't have a stove inside, well actually we do but I covered it up with a big 1200 w micro. I converted the old small microwave cabinet into new storage space. When we need meat I cook that outside. We don't have slides but then we don't have leaky or stuck slides either. We don't have a tow car, we have a tow Harley. My best friend has four paws and never tells on me. Life is good!!
We are not sure if we are morphing or mutating but we welcome the certainty of change.

Oh, now I get it ( me thinsk ) I have to confess what I don't have in my rv to be considered for the honorable position of mutant pledge. Well...I don't have none of these...diesel motor, remote mirrors, color back up camera, in motion sat dish, secong air cond., on board air, working electric steps, smooth delamination free side walls, windshield with out a crack in the corner, tire pressure monitor, full body paint, double door frig, and when I finish this last beer, I won't have any!

Are hearty welcome to you, RVM41.
