So do you have SunGaurd or another type of external windshield / side window / cover. SunGaurd had 3 types - 84% - 95% or 100% blockage.

I like the idea of having some viability and think the "most popular" 95% is what I would go with. Just curious what you and others might have.

I also like the black as opposed to lighter colors. Talk amongst yourselves...

Be safe Wayne!
I used Magna Shade for my sun blockage. Earlene doesn't like them up because they do cut down on visibility. I have one for the windshield and one for each side window.

Believe it or not (you can research) the black sunscreens are more efficient for blocking the Sun than the lighter colors. As you will see on their web site, they are easy to put up standing on the ground.

Something else I did was go to Lowes and purchase some of that "space foil" insulation. It comes in a big roll. I cut the foil to press up onto the window frame, with a half window size for the big windows. We were in 100+ degree heat and when I did this the temperature inside dropped almost 15 degrees when I put them up. I carry them in my closet against the wall for easy get-to and installation.

You never know in the RGV when you'll get some heat (or cold.)

We do have them, but they are a PIA toput on... Got to use a ladder... No way can ours be done from ground, and they are heavy.... Do have the black ones....We seldom use them unless staying in one spot for a while, AND have sun in direct line with windshield..... Larry did install them himself....

I do not do ladders... but Annie insisted I get her one... so we have one. We would have the Twist Locks installed - and only use them in the situations you describe. With full time it may be more often than not... I prefer the twist locks to the snaps and magnets but variety is the spice of life. We would be getting their tire and mirror covers too. With the MCD American Duos in the windshield and side windows - we would have double coverage on daylight and the night shades too.

Heading out west this afternoon... but leaving Honey behind this trip... took her the last couple of times, but decided not to today. Going to my cousin's to make jams and Jellies for sale to help with the cost of the Bison Preserve. They planted a lot of berry and fruit trees....and she grows a garden with extra in mind for our creative efforts...

Jay and Andrea.....The lobster looks great, not big on it though, to "rich" for my stomach I guess. And whenever I eat crab or lobster my fries always got cold....

Wayne....glad you got your air leak figured out. Hows the Q in the KC area?

Marty...Safe travels. Enjoyed the article...TY. Bison as a matriarchal society.

We live in a nice neighborhood with generally nice people, but kids will always find a way to get into mischief. At least it was egg and not slashed tires.

So now we start rainbow riding.
Well Ed I thought at first Elizabeth and Mary were providing omlets for the mutants. Seems they had a few extra eggs on hand.

Hope everyone has safe trip and rally here on out. Currently my coach is covered in bugs. See ya'll Sunday!

I have asked Wayne and Earlene if they would like to get a fishing guide with us - one day in Rockport... but have not heard yet (just asked)

I know the kids like to fish (or at least bait the line and pose for photo op) ... Annie and I are both up for a fishing expedition... and of course we can always fry some up - for those who will eat it. Bring shrimp and we can fry that too... or as Barb has noted in the past - we can use shrimp for bait and frying!

If you're coming to Drifters 11/14 - 11/21 - and want to look at getting a guide - let me know. There are plenty in the area - and some are - no fish - no pay...

The insulation attracts the bugs Tim.

I have 2 rolls of the aluminum I got from CW... don't particularly care for it. Ifin I use that, I will need to get a couple old tires to throw on the roof to complete the picture.... 😈

And to think, you gave away some used tires not too long ago! Lol
We don't use the foil backed insulation all the time cause it blocks out the light too, But, when the sun comes baking in it is easy to put up, and works well!

I've never had bug problems in daylight like this before!
