Herb, what's the latest word on Barb? Infection on the way out? Ommmmmmm for Barb. Hope to meet you two at some RVM rally in the future!
Steve, congratulations on the good news. I can't even imagine the hurdles you had to cross to finally get your due. My 32 y/o step-son (Kate's oldest) and his 29 y/o wife, who were both born with spina bifida, are wheelchair bound forever. They are waiting to hear if their disability claims will be approved. We are crossing fingers and toes .... Anyway, it's great that you've got that behind you now and can move on to the Rainbow with a lighter heart.
Life's short; eat desert first. Who said you can't have bacon for desert? Dip it in chocolate and there ya go.

I have been through very little - and nothing compared to your SIL/DIL...
And Dwayne has had a tough go getting SSI to work with him...
Me - all I did was work at the same place for 27 years. Turns out - I feel like the past few months - and the 5 year plan for going full time have been a second full time job.. geesh...
X2 on your sentiment for Barb and a double dose for your kids...
I do bacon and chocolate. Otherwise - savory desert is out...

Thanks for asking about Barb. She says she is feeling a little better today but her ribs are very sore from coughing so hard. She still is coughing but not as bad as yesterday. Her meds keep her pretty drugged so she is sleeping a lot! We are hoping tomorrow will be a much better day because she says she isn't going in the hospital.

HELLOOOOOOO you STMs!
Sandee and I thank all of you for thinking of us. Today we saw Sandee's mom off for her final trip. Lots of family and friends. Her dad is doing as well as can be expected. I was able to pull off the family eulogy with only a couple tears of my own.
Life goes on and we look forward to rainbow surfing in about a month. We will go see our coach tomorrow to inspect the work and maybe even bring it back home. If there are some minor issues they can iron out we will go back Friday for pick up. We are really anxious to see the work and get our home back. We miss it soooo much.
We will bring the coach back to Monticello, IN for a couple days of loading stuff back in it and cleaning up the BIL's lake house. By Monday we should be back to Champaign, IL until October 24th to be near to Sandee's dad and help him with what ever we can. After that we start our trek towards TX which should include being part of the gathering at the Drifters CG with Steve & Annie and all those other whacky folks committed to being there.

Just a follow-up on the BACON flights......Jenny's review of the brewery included this:
"My favorite thing is the bacon flight. Who was I before I discovered bacon flights? A poor, anchorless soul, wandering in the wilderness. But now... The ones I can remember trying are chocolate-covered bacon, Thai curry bacon, a caramelly one, a maple one, and a jerk one with molasses. There is always a combo of savory and sweet. I've never tried one that isn't awesome."
Mutant material fursure!!

Is it too early to wish you all a grrrreat morning? I've been up since 4:30. Ain't jet lag wonderful?
Herb, we're wishing Barb all the best, and you betcha she wants to avoid the horsepistol! She seems to be in capable hands. Don't let her forget, though: sometimes the big H is the best place if things get out of hand! Here's hoping it doesn't come to that.
Steve, it seems to be all good news on your checkup front (& back, inside & out!) Great to have that all behind you (if you'll pardon the phrase). Been there, done that; it's important! Bet Bonita is rarin' to go! Hugs to Annie!
Don and Sandee, I've just caught up on your news, and am so sorry to hear it was sad. Many ommmms as you and Dad deal with Mom's physical absence. I hope your shared reminiscences can bring a measure of comfort. Please keep in touch when you're back in C-U!
Bacon flight? Who knew??? Y'all keep enlarging my world!
And I second the motion for pics and bacon pics and mini-c pics from OL! Where are they? C'on, Muteys! More, more, more!
Cheers!
Sue
