Well - the good thing about retiring before Social Security kicks in, is that you get a raise when it does...

I was wondering when you'd ketchup... so here's the thing... once it's fried, dried and set aside, you don't know whose fish you're eating and it all tastes great - especially if we can nap a couple reds...

And you will fight right DOWN to the bottom, if needed.
Question: who baits the hooks? Slip them some ($) encouragement. Do they chum the water? Maybe a bit more chum to your side? ($)

Truth is, Nola has more luck than sense when it comes to fishin, and could out fish me with a bare hook dangling in an a empty bucket.
You two against those to ladies? Give it up, boys, just give it up!😉

I'd like to see some pics of nice reds!
Send me some fillets in dry ice? Will trade for good bacon. 😜

How bad could it be to retire a couple of years early?
Mel, I retired and went fulltime 16 days after my 60th birthday thanks to a small inheritance from my Dad and stepmom. For the most part it was GREAT! My only challenge was not having health insurance until 2.5 years later when I qualified for Medicare due to disability. I had to postpone back and knee surgery and pay out of pocket for meds and Dr visits.

But now all is wonderful! and if you aren't committed to staying at RV resorts, it can be a much cheaper way to live and enjoy life.

Di,

What cuties Anna and Hayes are! I imagine Hayes will have to keep his eye on Anna's boyfriend in a few years. He looks like he will be up to the task!

I bet you are already asleep.

Barb et al,

In a few days I will be changing ISP and my e-mail address will change. I just haven't figured out what the ISP will allow as an address. So if we get bounces on the other site please bear with me.

Mel I can tell you what early retirement is like. One minute your on top of the world, head dude/dudette in charge. Not rich but buying the nessessites and some wants in addition to putting back a little for later. THEN, it all changes. No money coming in and that, that you've saved your whole life, is going out.

At times you go into panic mode, not wanting to spend anything but little by little you remind yourself this is what you've been planning for your whole life, and besides you get tired of eating cat food! Lol

And, everytime you pay something off you get a raise! More money for fuel!

Steve was smart ( I'll regret I said that, he never forgets ) he had a plan to be debt free and has stuck too it, as far as I know.

Hey everybody, Look who it is!!! The kids have stopped by the senior center to say hello!! Wonder if we can get em to call a game of bingo or maybe remove the chairs in a spirited game of musical chairs!

Hey guys - great to have had the preview pics yesterday by text! Annie and I feel like we had front row seats at the Ed Sullivam show for the Dave Clark 5 (that's a TV show and band some of us old mutants were fond of). Maybe try the Google or the Wiki...

So let me know what ya decide on Rockport - Drifters or Lagoons. It's about 360 miles from Dallas to Rockport - so you could do it in a day if ya had to from here. Like I mentioned yesterday - Vineyards is close to where you will be for that show - and close to the highway headed south.

Anyway - it's great to hear from ya and look forward to seeing you in Rockport - regardless of the week. We'll be there in one park or the other from 11/14 - 12/1.

Take care! Keep in touch.
