I have only used it a little bit - but I like the Garmin RV760. It is nice to have two profiles set - toad and RV... and I am questioning the CRV GPS after a few routes it has given me. The Garmin has been spot on.
Only if the whole tire knocker package is in the deal....oh wait, I think Earlene would not like that.

Thanks for the info on the 760. I'm looking real close on that one

You swear at anything! I set the Tomtom up for 5 mph over and it gives an obnoxious sound. I'd take it with us on local trips in her car and she'd go mad so I had to turn it off. Darn thing would not shut off, kept up the obnoxious noise. Of course I set the noise sound also.

Here are some new listings that I'd love to get opinions on:

http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/diesel/2001-Landau-26781.htm No W/D or W/D connections. How important would you guys rate having a W/D on board?

Maybe my new favorite: 2001 Marlin By National RV 370 for Sale - D717 - PPL Motor Homes

There's still Alvarado ....
Just my personal preference, but I'd stay away from the 186,000 mile one. Just doesn't sit right with me.

As for a slide out. It really gives you more room to move around. I'd go for at least one in the living area, and possibly one in the BR.

It's pretty much going to be Garmin, just which one. I have had some replies and I'm leaning to the RV760LMT.
Thanks.

I dont need waypoints! That is like the impulse buy shelf in a grocery. And too much clutter on the screen, me thinks. Just sayin....
I live by impulses. Earlene keeps my wallet in check.

Yep! When we got the 5th wheel, the wheel area was all mine. Now with the MH, the wheel area is still all mine. I did show her how to get me out of the way, turn off the cruise control and pull the yellow knob

We also have a small table and a little red wagon. Had mine before Di had hers so she's the copy cat.

Different subject: Looking for a double din receiver to replace the bedroom receiver, a useless Jensen AWM960. A search on that receiver will give you some results that every one is having the same problem. Power to the unit is lost and no one seems to be able to fix it.

If you know of any one who has salvaged an RV and has such a contraption, tell them to holler at us.

p.s., they cost more than the Garmin and used less.

Felt real famous today, had a gentleman walk up to Mary and I today proclaiming "I know you" turning toward him and his two children I was clueless. He then ask if we hadn't eaten at Hymans Restaurant in downtown Charleston last night. Turned out to have been or waiter, luckily I left a very good tip, not like me, but he was good as was the food. Making it even stranger we were in North Charleston, miles from the downtown area.

It takes a while, but eventually you get accustomed to it.

Our motor home truly has the most beautiful back yard and has the most wonderful waterfront view.

I (we) can't relate too well (or understand) our friends, relatives, and acquaintances who say "I hate to travel". I lack understanding of this attitude towards seeing the new and undiscovered.

So . . . . . . since we started we charted our adventures on a map. I've decided to share our trips with you by showing you our map. We need to "knock off" four more states to touch them all (but Hawaii) with our motor home.
Steve - 👍👍👍 is that a digital map? You two have really made the most of it! What year do you start over?

Just figgered I better check in, we been busy. And I want to say that you all have me on overload here, trying to read all about it. I have been trying but then said to myself, I better just check in, as we are well and getting set for a trip. Yup going to actually use the 5er.
Going to Rockford, gonna see my side of the family. Then come back n put the pink stuff in the lines. I am hoping we get more travel time next year.
Moving was the big mission this year, and we have had so much to do on outside while weather was good. And we got the 50 amp connect put in last month, YAY! The winter will be spent fixing the interior of the house, and then we can play and go back to travels. I hope. There is just so much more I want to do. Here. There. Everywhere. Back to my reading, and "OOOOMMMS" for all who need them!

We looked on line for this map. It's about 20+ inches high and 30+ inches wide. It is on a black foam backing. It's labeled as a "political" map.

We will attempt to fill in some of the unused areas of the map and then retire this map as a "remembrance" trophy. Maybe pay big bucks and frame it. Keep it hanging in the S & B until the kids burn it after the "final rummage sale". LOL

Chuck,

If you ever need to chase away those turkeys, I can send you Lily. There is a bachelor group that comes up to Bob's patio to eat the bird seed that the chickadees have knocked out of the bird feeder. Lily shot out of the house and chased them into the nearby trees. Then she ran from tree to tree just daring one of them to fly back down. After an hour I'd heard enough and went out to retrieve her. All 8 pounds of her quivered with excitement over the chase. I had to pull the shades down before she'd give up the whining to get back outside.

Steve, Rock Cut state park is our choice. They have elec. sites and we love the park. They accommodated us last early spring with water for our tanks even though they were turned off. And DH likes the privacy, of the sites there. No alcohol is allowed in the park.
Barb. your Lilly is a terrier, they live for the hunt and kill. Our Sadie is incorrigible in her hunting. She thinks she is going to take down a deer or squirrel or dig up a mole. But she has her eye on the blue tailed skinks here, too. She is pretty quiet in her hunting though so sometimes we have to hunt her down. And she is always getting a bath, due to her digging and underbrush hunts. She loves living here, no fences and lots of prey.
