I really am flexible on dates... I just threw one out to get it moving... What would be best for those traveling more, or those working.... I also liked the less crowded weekdays...

That makes more sense to me - we came in on Wed last year as I recall....

This was a week or so after I had a long slow ride of 7 miles down a wash board road. I had two hoses rubbed against metal. Had to repair them so I figured it was the vibration. I checked all the connections and cleaned them. I looked for bare wires. I found nothing. It has never happened again, and its been six months. We fulltime, I would've known it. All I can think is cleaning connections helped.

Here's a couple of pics from our campsite. More like a parking spot with room for a chair LOL. A little "snug" to say the least. Couldn't put the awning out very far. Had to be an Arborist and take some thick twiggery off the slide side to put the slides out. Rained all night Friday but cleared up Saturday. Purchased 3 umbrellas just in case! LOL

It was nice to get out with the "Beaver" for a last hoorah. We really haven't used it much other than our holidays. After spending a bunch of money to get most things working, it would have been a shame not to get a last kick at the cat.
I had to replace the 2 chassis 12v batteries before I left. Wouldn't hold a charge. When I bought the coach, the guy put in Walmart Marine batteries. They aren't meant for the loads these rigs need. $222. from the truck repair shop. Cha Ching!

I carry a full set of tools with me. Always fixing something. Had to be an RV electrician yesterday and repair the wires to Bonnie's power swivel seat. They got hooked on something underneath and wires pulled out of buss connectors when we tried to turn it around. Got under the chair and everything was duct taped. God I hate backyard repair guys! I put new buss connectors on and zip tied all the wiring solid and "Voila" back in business. Good for another 20 miles LOL.

Les, my condolences about the last hurrah. I'm glad you got one last one in!

Hate to gloat friends, but we've been doing the RTE 66 thing. Yesterday was Elk City, today and Tomorrow is Amarillo. The weather has been perfect! We leave Tuesday morning for Albuquerque just in time for the Balloon Festival. The Rig is running like a Swiss watch, the weather is perfect, we are lucky people!

R U an RV Mutant too?

Hey, Muteys!
On the topic of RVM GCs, I provide the following shameless plug, that is pretty much just my humble opinion. Actually, you ask? Yep. Totally IMHO!

There will be a nice Midi-C gathering in the RGV, and Mini-Cs in much of the SW this Winter. That's grand!
As we go along, there need to be gatherings is the NW, the SE, and the NE. So....where next? Like next Fall?
IMHO, the next gathering after CL should be in the NW, and clockwise from there. I also agree that we need regional RVMs to head up the research. Perhaps some organized brain farting at CL?
All that said, I'm throwing this hat in the ring for STM consideration. Please look it over real careful like, eh? I did not find this place. Steve did. And I like it. So there!

Please, gimme YOUR opinions.

Note: No RVM Mascots were harmed during the production of this shameless plug. Nope. Not even a fabric stain!

There is an amphitheater, but I don't see any sort of pavilion or picnic shelter type area...

Thoughts on these coaches? (I know updates in décor will be needed.)

I know I like this location. Only two days from here even at the incredibly slow speeds I travel.

It's so close to Dogpatch that if he left today he would have arrived yesterday.

Jackie and I would have to decide Dreamers rally or GC, too much over lap with those dates. :-( :-(

Marcia and I like slides we have two and would consider more slides before less. Secondly as far as the booth versus table and chairs, we like the table and chairs more, we don't need sleeping for guests so much. The W/D is a great option we got lucky when we got our coach and we would hate to be without it now, yes its a combo yes it takes a bit longer to operate, but who cares we are retired and can take as much or as little time as we want. Cat vs Cummins I like Cats but either one is a 500K + engine if you maintain them properly.

Just remember take lots of pics for Kate and when you find the right one you will know it.

Cheers !!!!!
