Not sure what "bells and whistles" you're referring to, Barb. ???

I think the Discovery in Haslett is over-priced.

Thanks everyone!

Mel just for your info. We have a 2000 Holiday Rambler 40 ft Dp with 2 slides. It has run beautifully, the only thing to break was left front jack. 14 years old runs like new. They knew how to build them with quality, and the slides are almost silent. All our bells and whistles work. Tires will be $3000 tops, and if you like the floor plan a 15 year old Fleetwood or Monaco base will serve you well. We liked the two slides because it allowed for a big 6ft full closet in bedroom.

If I put ours on our Red Wrangler, it would look just like that. Woot!

I paid more for 6 22.5's Michelin's with the FMCA discount - but what's a couple thousand amongst friends...

And amortized across the 7 +/- year life... it's peanuts. Tires are what's tween you and the road. Ya can't substitute marshmallows for tires. Gotta have - if not now - sooner or later and I feel better knowing exactly where these tires have gone... I really had no idea on where the Good Year GY70s she came with had been. They were '07 - original tires and low miles. Looked fine and some would still be riding on em now.

Keep things in perspective is the key I guess. Yes - tires are expensive - just work the numbers. You'll be fine.

I wonder who will get the dubious honour of being the recipient of the first Canuck Mutant Mugs.

Actually, I'd found an Endeavor about the same vintage as yours. Got away from me. But, I see your point about the 2 slides. Huge difference over the coaches with no bedroom slide.

There's the 2000 Newmar Dutch Star needing 6 new tires and a W/D. It does have 2 slides and thus, a giant closet. And then again, there's the '98 Discovery by Fleetwood that looks good and that Herb is going to check out for us. Only one slide, I believe, but we'll see what he thinks ....

Maybe I'll be making a quick trip to Fort Worth this weekend!
