Honda Element. Now if the Yahoo article had trashed my old '47 Crosley as "embarrassing", I would really get an inferiority complex.

47 Crosley? We had one of them. But it was a fire truck our clown group used in parades. Had about 47 horse power!

I guess the stuff I had, 55 Ford, 55 Chevy, 60 Plymouth Fury (oh yeah really big fins!), 65 Malibu SS, etc...are not on the list. Okay, I could be dating myself here!

But the Element was popular for quite a while.

47 Crosley. Is that the one that looked like a mini 40 Ford?

I wanted a mini-Vette (Opel GT).

Sena attempts to dismantle everything, but knobs and switches on Smarty are well constructed and so far she hasn't been able to remove any pieces.

Sena likes to drive but she's not tall enough to reach the gas and brakes. So she stands on my lap and holds onto the steering wheel. We get lots of double looks at stop lights.

It was Hormel brand too. You could leave it sitting outside the fridge for something like 6 months.

Add a little Velveta cheese (that is stocked on an aisle next to canned goods) and put it on some Wonder Bread and you have a well preserved meal.

As for the book (w/ illustrious illustrations, of course), we will begin an immediate mutant collaboration.

So here's a photo of some recent spinning while mutating:
Attachment 43875
This is all cotton yarn spun on a charkha (think Ghandi-ji) and meant for a woven blouse. Next year, while I re-mutate into a weaver and then a seamstress. Whew! Too many hats!

Timarti -- your turn!
Have to wait until I can get at my computer for pix! Will have mutated back to the sticks and bricks in another week. Onward! Maybe there will be bacon along the way. Yesterday I saw bacon toothpaste, gum and breath mints. For some reason I was able to resist, possibly because I was so full after my third full Amish meal in a few days. Can't.....eat....any.....more.

Iwannasee, Iwannasee, Iwannasee! (That's me squeaking, probably what Sena is thinking.). ROFL!

Tonights news said there may be a price increase in bacon (pork). Seems there is some unknown disease killing the piglets. I'm not making this up. Anybody else see this?

Would that be like a gourmet Twinkie.

The Crosley that I had must have been the entry level model ... Had 10hp. On days with a strong headwind, you just didn't go that direction.

Ironic that today we had the Element at the dealers for routine maintenance. A salesman wandered into the waiting room to ask us if we were willing to sell the car. Said he has a waiting list of people who are looking for Elements. Of course being a car salesman, he was hoping we would buy a new CRV or Pilot and trade the Element.

OK, now I remember the Crosley. I was thinking of a Volvo that looked like a `40 Ford.
