Here I thought you were the big outdoorsy type, too. Ah, my fantasies shattered. Just a billionaire. Or multi-thereof.

RVM #9 checking in. I've been MIA for a while... did anyone miss me? lol
It's been hot and our rebuild has slowed to a crawl. I've had a few leather projects to do... and it's one of those things where sharing the shop/garage with my husband has been a challenge.
In case anyone is interested. I custom made this guitar strap for a young musician ... he wanted it to hold a box of 44 mag bullets. So.... here it is.
I hope they aren't too big.
Sylvia

If I played the guitar so bad I had to be armed, I believe I'd stop.

But you'd be proud to have such a fine looking strap - bullets or not!

RVM #9 ... I think you are on to something big with the customized guitar straps. Imagine one with a holster, ammo pouch, handcuff pouch, Tazer holder, etc. Such a design could sell like hotcakes to guitar playing LEO's.
There must be numerous other "profession specific" themes for guitar straps. Would you design one for me with flashing rope lights?

HMMMM...I think I will firm up my mutant credentials...
I don't have nor do I need a bullet holding, pistol packing guitar strap.

Pretty sure you could take names just wielding that guitar strap. Nice, heavy leather. And if that doesn't work.... There's alway

I've actually considered LED light inserts...and swarovski crystals. Give me enough time and money...I'm sure I can work something up!

Yes, it weighed nearly 2lbs when it was boxed up to ship. I'm sure that even dummy bullets, it will be quite heavy. But it will be strong enough that if he needs to put it on a heavy bass, or a stone dead boat anchor of a Les Paul; it can handle it. The leather is saddle skirting... so you are correct it's very thick.
Anyway... I'm pleased with your praise and humor. It made my night. Thank you.

Syl,
Beautiful leather work! You are very talented.
Like some others here, I question Bradley's need of so much heavy duty ammo while playing a guitar, but support his right to wear it. I assume it is his statement of the right to bear arms. I do hope he is a big strong guy who can support all that weight on one shoulder. I see lots of chiropractor visits in his future.

Hey Sue,
I thought your username was a bastardized spelling of suspense. Now I realize it is Sue spins.
I'm enjoying learning more about our mutant membership.
