Love it when a plan comes together. A little tired to run off to the casino tonight. Maybe in the morning. Flight isn't until 5:20 pm tomorrow. May just sleep in. It's nice to have this out of the way! Hard to believe we will be moving into Bonita this Friday and hitting the road a week after that. Still much to do but you mutants keep us rolling toward Rockport, the RGV and on to CL GC1.2 Redux and a GC 2.0 TBD

Woot!!!! Congrats you two.

Now get on the road or I will notify DOT, TDR, INS, DDT, FBI, DOL, DOD, RPM, MPG, and BIL. 😉

When you get pulled over and the cruiser has twinkling RLs, toss out the ludefisk and....never mind. No gulches in SF SD. 😁

They actually don't bark too much, but they do get up regularly with me at 4. Can't seem to get them to understand what a vacation day is, or a weekend day for that matter.

I never had that issue with my pups, Larry. I didn't get up, so they didn't. 😃
But if I got up to peeee....

Quickie post, and then will try to play "catch up" again! Currently in Marietta, GA. Going to run the Atlanta gauntlet tomorrow en route to St. Augustine, FL. I did not much like the drive through a bit of Michigan and all of Ohio on I-75. Too many cities! First Detroit, then Toledo, Dayton and then Cincinatti all in one day. However, we love Kentucky and Tennesee! Some of those upgrades and downgrades through the mountains though, so long! Up, up, up, up and down, down, down, down. Trying to imagine how it would feel with the truck and trailer. Have to say, I am missing the trailer big time. Have gotten used to travelling with my own bed, kitchen, bath, etc. etc. Not the same in hotels, but would only be covering half the distance in a day. When hauling, I like to keep it at about 4 hours driving a day, instead of the 7-8 we are doing now, so the trip would take at least a week instead of 4 days. Really wanted to spend time in Bluegrass Country in Kentucky, but this trip is about a dash to FL and exploring there for a couple of weeks. Still, good to be on the rainbow, heading to check out prospective campgrounds!

PS - and its warm!

Pardon me for this ponder. It's not life threatening or particularly profound. But here goes . . . . . . . . .

Why do so many towns in the low country (within 50 miles of the sea) of South Carolina and Georgia AND the entire state of Florida have "hills" as part of their names? Also in several of the cities that we visited have schools, malls, subdivisions, etc. with "hills" in their names.

The highest point in these areas must be 8 - 10 feet above sea level.

That's like Texas calling their hills "mountains". Guess they haven't seem Alaska. Heck, Alaska doesn't bother naming a mountain unless it's over 10,000 feet in the air.
