Thanks! It was a crazy busy work day. But Kate took me out and we enjoyed a great dinner and some really strong margaritas. Yippee!

When I visited visited one of the State or National parks in the SW USA one of the rangers mentioned that camels were imported in the 1800's to be used as pack animals. Had any of them survived and formed a breeding colony they might look a bit more like your Camelflage today.

And so ends today's history lesson.

Seems the keeper of the days is out partying and not looking in her notebook! With nearly a hundred of us now... it's gonna be a full time job keeping track!
|
Gawd, who could keep up with all those BDs??!! How about this? Anyone having a BD post it so we will all know. Lots easier than one person trying to keep up with well over 100 birthdays!

Kate is a vegetarian ... but eats fish. Can't remember what's the official word for that. Something like "pescitarian. "

Thanks, Barb. I read the whole thing and enjoyed it a great deal. Now to post it on FB and head to the desert to find one! Youtube of one would make millions. Cha-ching!

Whew! Caught up ... or would that be ketched up? Or ketchupped? 'S what I get for stayin' busy all day.
Happy BD, Mel! 🎶 ... and many moooore! 🎶
That was a wonderful bacon cake. Made me lol. And salivate.
Raining in IL too, so carrying out was at a minimum today. Collecting and sorting and weeding out and inventorying and paring down continued all day, however. I've never done a 6-month trip before. It's exhausting and we haven't even left yet! 😜
Still sending ommmms and good wishes Tom-ward. The brain recovers slowly, but can do amazing things in healing. Stay strong, Annie. I know this isn't easy for any of you.

Since I haven't checked in lately, I guess I better wish Happiness to everyone, just in case it is/was/will be your special day!
I have to say the chore of "pink stuff" has been successfully accomplished by this "some-timer".
The worst and hardest job is closing up for the winter, carting everything in which may freeze, and storing the sheets and towels where bugs and vermin won't find a home.
Of course come Spring, it is just as hard to do the reverse. But at that time the work is more acceptable as it leads to enjoying the travel, and better weather.
OMS to Annie's dad!

Sue - we were facing that same thing a rained out load out... we just put what we could in the car and staged it around the garage. We'll face it in the morning when the movers come. Oh brother.
The thing is rain expected again tomorrow and there's a flash flood warning where headed until tomorrow. Lol. Hopefully the place will be there when are. We'll just leave the stuff in the car I guess until we can unload in a dry place.
Sue - I am really excited for you, Martin and Bella. A 6 month journey is nothing to sneeze at. I know you're going to have a grand time! Woot!
Thanks all for the Omms for Tom. He still has a parcel of healing to do but is now in a regular room, disoriented somewhat, and not fully functioning with his right arm.
Back to the packing. Would you believe - I still haven't gone through my clothes.
