Bokobird/Carl, are you joining up with us-all at Rockport? A little Jne-bird indicated that you were. Is she just blowin' smoke, or are you really coming?

Sure wish I could, but unfortunately, not in my plans. I am moving the bus to FL on the 28th and staying there a week, but that's my only travel plans on the horizon.

Woot ! Woot! now you can finally get some grub! how many you going for? are you allowed 2-3? Seems it would take that to fill a freezer once it's packaged up... I almost got a turkey running by the road today, I slowed down 'cause I didn't want to get the car messy or break a windshield!

You do! Bless you my child... now all we need is weather suitable for smoking. I did do one last Thanksgiving and it was coollddd. But the digital remote Maverick probe thermometer is a blessing. Get the fire going - temp set - bird in - go inside and watch the temp. Piece of cake..

I can look for a goose...
oh, and I missed my deadline to order a boozy rainbow cake... things with gluten tend to slip my mind...
( we had a goose here for a few years, he lives at my son's now... he is a pet and would not make a fine dinner.....

Wow - can't blame me for the weather - but Rockport is looking cool, windy and wet in the forecast.

Not sure about this, but heard something about earliest / coldest in 17 years but that may have been for Kens place - which probably just rolls south and proves true elsewhere.

Well - well mutants gather -ago happens... we will just let the journey take care of things.
