I seemed to remember last time she posted, she was on break I believe and ready to head out camping... but that was a few weeks ago, so I am guessing she is back at the books....

Jeff... depends on time of day! (and whether there is construction on your route)

Jeff we took the slow route to San Antonio from north of Dallas on 75... Highway 380 - you know it already - then 281 south all the way. I'm not going to say it is faster - but I avoided any of those other routes as often as possible - after living in "Dallas" for 35 years.

Well we weren't going to go down to SA cause it wasn't very direct to get us to El Paso which gets us to phoenix on time for thanksgiving, so are you saying to avoid 20 ?

Jeff,

Take I-30 to 635 (LBJ) in Mesquite, you will go south on 635 and 635 will turn into I-20. That will take you around the main part of Dallas and away from the downtown area. I-20 will take you through Arlington and
Ft. Worth but you will be south of the downtown area of Ft. Worth.

Hope this helps,

Jim

Jeff is blowing smoke! You should see some of the words he posts! I've just played longer and know more high scoring tricks. It is fun tho to play with a friend because there is a chat feature and you can harass while you play.

You can go 380 off of 30 south - all the way to 281 - down to 20. You will be slower but happier. But you will have to add up the time to see if it's worth it. Too late to say leave sooner and take more time - but driving through Dallas is not something I will do unless I have to... I will avoid it because the construction never and mean never ends. And the drivers are like any other big city... except they are "America's Drivers" :-)

He'd I've lived here in DFW most of my life. Jim's directions are dead on. Come in on 30 to 635 in Mesquite go south on 635 to 20 west and you will stay south of downtown. There is a little construction on 20 between Dallas and Ft Worth and again on the Southwest side of Ft Worth but it's not bad.
