Salad is not food, food eats salad.
I eat beef. Cows eat grass. I get my salad by eating beef.
Greens on the other hand need not be mutated with substances that take away the flavor of the true natural green flavor.

Attention Mutants!! Important, please read ASAP!
There is a serious issue that this Curiosity must ponder and I dare say it is so vital that it may have to be voted upon. We are a democratic group, are we not?
With so much discussion of bacon lately, I began pondering that delectable pork product's universal appeal and then it struck me like a bolt of lightening. WHAT IS BACON, and what is not? Must bacon be made from pork, or are bacons with different heritages also bacon?
There is turkey bacon, lamb bacon, beef bacon, duck bacon, tofu bacon, even bacon flavored textured vegetable protein bits that looks somewhat like bacon crumbles in the dim light of a cheap restaurant salad bar. And I'm sure there are many more of which I am unaware.
My questions are thus -- What is bacon? Is there a need to declare a Mutant Certified bacon? And should we declare pork as the only true bacon, will we offend/ostracize those who, for religious or medical reasons, do not consume pork?
Your attention to this matter is requested immediately.

That is a multi layer ponder! Does that make it a preponderance?

An RVM ponderance of the highest order!
May I say "WOW"?
Bacon as a ponderance, a curiosity.
Well, let me say this about that. Bacon is bacon. It can be of any source, be it animal or vegetable.
However, HOWEVER, my Norwegian/Danish heritage is based on beef for steak, burger, etc and cod fish for ludefisk (okay, it is not a perfect diet) and pork for....well....BACON and other pork foods.
Being a somewhat original RVM, my quest in life has been to travel as far and wide as possible, and, in the process, taste every local/indigenous/cultural food I can find, and through that search, to find foods I do not like. I have not suceeded in the "not like" department.
In much of the South, for example, barbeque is part of the quest. We go to a town at noon, enter the busiest restaurant, and never fail to be thrilled and satisfied.
As a true Democracy, RVMdom has true freedom. That includes the choice of where we go, what we do, and all that we eat.
But tofu or cous-cous will never be bacon. IMHO.
Okay. I'm done now.
Next?

Lest I forget, Martha, that is a truly fine Honey! You should have many happy times on journeys in that! I love pictures.
BACON! It is kinda like roses... by any other name it would still be as sumptuous. As to what is not bacon, I would have to ponder that. If it looks like bacon, and smells like bacon, and tastes like bacon then would it not be bacon?
This has nothing to do with what it is actually made of. Ah the wonders of chemistry. They can make anything taste like anything else. Oh how dismal a prospect, fake bacon! Or: How glorious a prospect, fake bacon! How to choose?
