The other day I met RVM102...
We had a bit of a mini-C... and what's a shame is --- he and Elaine were right there with us in Rockport while the FEPTDF&C were in the works... this is Redding...

Don and Sandee,
As mean as she is, Miya sends her best to Gunny.

Steve - It was great talking to you today.

Don - you're right about those tamales!! The spicy pork tamales have a kick. The chicken cheese - nice and mild - but the spicy pork ummm hmmm. Regular pork are down right tasty. We have leftovers but they'll be gone before you get here.

Tim... be sure to keep some of that deer sausage back for Redux!

Ummm... nope... I didn't go see him today, he comes home tomorrow so I might slip over there for a minute to "hi" him, and my son and his wife of course.... he had a lot of other visitors today, my other sons and their women....LOL!

Don, I am in the "totally understands" group. I have a 13 year old Springer in the same boat. Not sure if he'll make it through till the GC in April, but I hope so. Dogs bring so much joy throughout their lives that it is worth the pain of seeing them go.

Good morning mutants!
I have a question for the retired among us. Is there an official nap time. I have had very few naps since retiring. I had many more days with naps pre-retirement and I want to be sure I'm doing this right. Up early - doing lots of things - no naps. Feels right, but also oh so wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

Nap time is whenever you get tired....... Mine is usually after lunch, turn on some tranquility flute music, cuddle up with pups, and even though i might not sleep.... I rest for an hour.... Began that when i was very anemic a few years ago.... It still helps... Plus gives the pups special time.... They know when it us time..

Don.... Two years ago on Dec 28, i had to help my first Westie go to the rainbow bridge. He was my first very special dog, who also saved Larrys life... That was hard, but he was so miserable... I cried for 2 solid weeks... Really hard on me, i understand.... Prayers to do what he needs.....

Diane toftSFM#64....... (The Original Fast Talking Sliding Finger Mutant) and is retired, duh!

The rule is, but you'd have to check the ancient scrolls on this, that mutating retirees must grab the nap-opp whenever it presents itself. IOW, if you've carried in the shopping and see a golden aura around the couch or recliner, you must nap. The ice cream will wait.

Don't quote me on this. I'm sure it's in the scrolls. 'Scuse me, an aura has just appeared over my favorite chair. My first cuppa will have to wait.

Yawn!

Hey Don,

Thanks for the update on Gunny, I sure feel your pain and share your willingness to do what's needed for your fur kids. Marcia and I will continue to wish you and yours the best.

Official mutant nap time OMNT . . . . . . well spoken mutants. I have nothing new to add to your wise utterances.

Good news and sad realities concerning Gunny. Enjoy each remaining day.

BTW, left eye must have really been mistreated with the laser thing. It waters A LOT and normal vision is still a work in progress. Remaining positive.
