True dat. Zale and Klinger's fist fights were truly epic jousts. Lots of hot air and near misses and nothing landed for the duration.

Steve do you have a surge protector in the Bounder? First thing I put on mine. From first hand experience I've learned "tricity can do funny tings". The surge when the transformer blew may have damaged the ATS. Even if repairable, a new ATS with the old rebuilt one as a backup might be prudent. ATS is the single most common point of elec failure in our systems. Good luck with repairs.

Hey Mike - got your PM. All I can say is - whether ya come to TX for winter or not - make it to Hot Springs in April - you will be glad you did!!!!

Yes I have belt and suspenders for surge and electric management.

First inline is the Power Master VC50 voltage regulator with surge protection.

http://www.powermasterrv.com/products.html

Next is the the PI PT50C
http://www.progressiveindustries.net/ems_pt50c.htm

Both are mounted in my electric bay - my power cord was modified (cut and proper heads added) to allow plug and play between the boxes - 1, both, and none. This is how I was able to determine all systems were go before the transfer switch.

It helped that the neighbor had an extra PT50 we could use as a double check.

So that's the most perplexing part of the situation. How - with all the protection we have up front - could a blown transformer get to my and only my ATS out of all the others around me? Just lucky I guess. :what:  :( :what:

You know how I like to tug on your chain all the time, right? Please don't talk about wind turbines. Our first trip out to the West Coast and Earlene got fascinated by them. If you are really interested I can send you around 5000 pictures. Thank goodness for digital cameras, or I'd have payed a fortune for film development. (You do remember what "film" is, right.)

Getting over what Marty has, but it sure lingers on.

Okay, educate me. Why is the inverter on if you are plugged into shore power, or running the generator? Different coaches for different folksesss?

Yep! It requires ohmms, prayers, Alkaseltzer Plus, cough drops, antibiotics, decongestants, and a doctor's visit. I haven't don the doctor's visit yet. I got the flu shot "so I should be okay."

Tim, that is where Annie tosses him when he is misbehaving. I'm not sure she could close the bed down all the way though.

Looks like you were well protected Steve. Tis a mutant mystery for sure! Maybe the ATS is mutating as fast asyou are. Non-functional mutants may not be as rare as we think 😈😂

Tell me why it wouldn't or shouldn't be and I will tell you why it is. I always leave it on. It is a priority device to the best of my knowledge.

Don't the surge guards have their own fuse, as well?

From the Magnum Manual...
"Inverter Mode
Whenever AC Shore Power is no longer sensed, the inverter automatically transfers to battery power with no interruption to your appliances. The inverters green LED flashes once every 2 seconds (medium flash) to indicate it is running on battery power and providing AC to the coach.
AC Shore Power Mode
Whenever AC Shore Power is sensed, the inverter automatically transfers to the shore power with minimal interruption to your appliances."

Marty,

Ohmms for you. Newborns have Momma's immunity still in them. Chances are good that Eli won't have gotten your crud.

Hope you feel better soon.
