To be honest, I'm concerned about the numbers of RVMs that can attend a GC in the NW. How many can seriously commit to one in that area.



Sorry to sound so...organizational about the thing. While you and Steve did a phenomenal job with CL. You were right there to scope it out and Steve put together a lot of things to make it so successful. My concern with this GC is that there doesn't appear anyone with a good knowledge of the area and in a position to replicate the work you did. We really need someone to be in a place to do the legwork.



Now...granted...perhaps I have overestimated the potential for the weather and terrain to be a problem in late August to early September. I also want to make sure that we find a place that folks want to go to. Keep in mind that the shortest driving distance from any Canadian location close to Lethbridge, AB to a central point like Pocatello is about 950km/590mi. From the BC area it is more like 1400km/870mi.

The part of Idaho we saw was ok, but not breathtaking.
While i hope we get to come. I have kids and grandkids and really do need to plan ahead some..... I personally would rather it be in Utah... Where was that one that was suggested?

When you get the web going, draw a radius map of where each will be and find the overlap..... You math people what was that called... A set? A subset?

And lol telling us not to talk about sometng is a sure bet we will....

Last person I talked to, just off her first cruise to the Eastern Carribean, said the waters were really rough. She was on the Dramamine constantly. Uh-oh! 😳

Just don't want to isolate people who can't attend - no matter what location we decide on or when.

We are making headway toward a normal life here - but Annie has been struggling with the weather and sinusitis - and today I'm feeling tired. We are 5 miles from Don and Sandee and we have 3.5 months to play together. Don and I were talking last night about things to do and see - and Anne and Sandee are planning a spa day. They know the area from last year and Annie and I are doing a little exploring on our own. It's not a vacation and we are actually making an effort to slow down. Heck we didn't see our neighbors everyday when we were in the apartment. But believe me - they will be tired if us before it's over... lol.

I have 2 inches of guides and brochures on things to do in the RGV - the park bus took folks to a local wildlife refuge yesterday and we missed that cause Annie wasn't up to it.

I still don't know how to operate all the wizardry of CRVMutant and need to read those manuals. And on and on... life on the rainbow is great - nothing but time to do as we please.... and we're just getting started!

I don't think you are over thinking it, and I am pretty committed to trying the Northwet for a GC...
