Use a jar, a straight sided one is nice. About a cup of alcohol... and slice your vanilla beans in half lengthwise so the seeds and innards are exposed...
place them in the jar and cover with the alcohol... cap it, and shake it up... let it sit for about a month ...shaking daily or as you remember.... now if you want really strong vanilla flavor, after a month, you can remove the beans and add another set of beans to the extract you have made and let it go then for another month...but that means you have to wait to use the yummy extract!
So complicated! I just go to the package store and buy some vanilla vodka.

Huh Herb! Actually it is Marshmallow Fluff Vodka for the smoothies, so now you know my secret ingredient.

Wayne... do I recall you having a problem with dash stereo in Citrus. I was getting an error code 3 on CD on the way down here. Using the main sound system now so no rush to replace - but Jensen VR182 is aging out anyway. What did you do if anything?

The picture outer frame says Jun 1959, but that would have only put me at 1-1/2 years old in the picture.

Hey all,

I just woke up from watching TV and thought I would wish you, our mutant family, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I will see everyone back here sometime after boxing day. I will try to get pictures of Denise at her Birthday Bash up on the mountain.

Be good and leave Santa lots of milk and cookies to bribe your way onto the nice list. All our love to you in the coming year.

Denise and Dennis
