Dennis I bet you set off alarms every time you travel. You must be like the Tinman. Do you carry your oil can with you? I have no metal but I do feel like I need a good oiling occasionally!

The knee is coming along. Thanks. Second surgery not as bad as the first as far as recovery time. But I think I'll be in physical therapy forever. Not that that's bad! I totally believe in rehab.

Sorry we missed y'all in November. Looking forward to seeing/meeting everyone in April. Looks like we'll be coming in on Thursday afternoon and leaving Sunday afternoon.

I'm trying to get a few things done to Bow before CL. Need to have new curtains made for the front windshields. I think the ones on there now are originals. They've gotta go!

Hope y'all are doing well! Catch us up!

Mel

I guess we're settling in on full time with an absorption refrigerator. 2 months in row - 1st of the month - defrost and raid the freezer for grillmutation and fill the ice chests with things requiring cold and head to the store.

When we return I get the Simple Green and a sponge out and wash the fridge bins, ice bucket and door trays with the hose and dry em off. It's about time to fire it up and let it cool down. In the meantime we've had some of sushi rolls we picked up at the market. They were giving away free samples. Had to try it which, as they had expected, lead to buying it. It was very good. And BTW - life is grand on the rainbow.

Kemah is very good for us - close - but for a little fairness for JNE and TEFFY, somewhere up around the Channel View area would be nice.

It might be a while before boyness is back in our house again. We have a 9 month-old granddaughter. No other grands on the way ... yet. We have 4 sons, so we're not sure about little girls. We can throw footballs and baseballs, but we're not so good with bows and dolls! We are used to farts and burps and wrestling and fort-building. If little Gwyneth is a tom-boy, we're good. If she's a girly-girl, we'll need some advice from her mom!

I once offered to a moron security dude in the Phoenix airport that maybe I should just strip nekked so he could see all the scars.

I wonder if it will ever dawn on those types that real bombs don't have metal in them.

20??? OMG. I can't compete. I don't sew.

Little Gwyn is our heart, though. And if these two grandmothers have anything to do with it, she will become a reader and lover of books. We are buying her books of all kinds all the time!

Of course, we look forward to the time when she is old enough to go on a little camping trip with her Gram and MiMi. Close to parents (in Austin), of course! But there are lots and lots of cool places in the hill country right around Austin. Mom and Dad can come out for the cookouts ... or they can stay home and sleep. Or whatever.
