We took a walking tour of Amana this morning, 6 of us with a very good guide named Meg. Very easy walking, some shade, & a good preview of what's where, and more history & stories too.

Had to miss morning coffee and Grandma Morgan's home baked cookies, hosted by Petro, so we could get out on the earliest (9:15) tour and still have time for breakfast.

We're on our own for lunch & dinner, with several places to choose from, and then there is the communal bonfire tonight. The crowd might get rowdy then!

Firewood is free, offcuts from the local furniture makers, so it's anything from cherry to cedar. Really pretty pieces are stood up to one side, so a body could choose to take such a piece for other uses besides burning. Very thoughtful!

Too long a post, I fear. But I have to make y'll jealous so you'll come next year. I'm told it is planned for Myrtle Beach. Nice!

Cheers!
We passed by your location today on our way to Western MN. You are in a fun place!

Pics or your dead. ;-)

Dave we stayed at Riverside RV Park in Loveland. It's at the foothills of the Rockies right on the Big Thompson River and we loved it! Thirty min. Drive to Rocky Mtns Natl. Park

Big power outage in my county tonight. Not sure if it is due to air conditioning overload or someone crashed into a transformer station. We have the only lights on our street because I just fired up the bus genset to feed the house system. Nice cool house, while the neighbors are dragging chairs outside to sit on porches.

Ha ... boondocking in my own house!

I've seen power outages where the south side of my street had lights and the north side didn't?

If we had stopped by, we woulda stayed, and woulda been late for Nola's meet-up with a high school chum.

One day, Dear Mutant. One day! Well, maybe several days. ;-)

Got ideas on Durrango Co camping?

Dave

Yup, understood. I can wait a few days....

Wish I did have some Durango ideas, 'cuz that would mean I had been there at least once. Dang! No such good fortune has yet smiled upon me. I will hide & watch for wiser heads than mine to speak.

Cheers!
