MartySQ,

I was saying goodnight to mph. He said he was going to bed. I go into work early so tend to rise early even on days off. I plan to break that habit when I retire. I may even sleep in until oh 6am. That will show the work routine. That is unless the place we are camped has a reputation for great sun rises then I will be up early enough for that.

Otherwise, I tend to be a daytime person. Have a great one, Lynne

OK GC1.2 Redux attendees. Talked to Di today regarding her painting to be auctioned to defray cost of band - which is appreciated - last year's attendees came close to covering and I appreciated the support. I have said this before. I am friends with band and seeing them is its own reward for me. But Di and I thought it might be fun to do a silent auction of her painting and anything else mutants might want to put toward the expense of the band. If we have some nice things (like her painting) we may even get some non-mutant park guest to bid. Which might go a ways toward not having complaints about the music. I heard there was a little of that last year - but it may have been sour grapes. The manager sure seemed to enjoy it as did numerous others. I know somewhere, someone was asking - what's going on over there. And of course the answer was, "I don't know but it's a curiosity for sure."

Anyone have anything - old, new, handmade, store bought or otherwise to enter into a silent auction? Thoughts - ideas... it's all good. Ponder away you STMs....

Like a 6 pack of that homebrew,
or Daves wooden horsehead,
or the crochet swim trunks,
5# of fish,
strand of ropus lightus.....

Just as ideas.........
Each item will have a bid sheet......
You just wander by and write in your bid, at the designated time, the highest bid wins.......
Important thing to remember, if it something you want, keep checking the bid.......

Diane toftSFM#64....... (The Original Fast Talking Sliding Finger Mutant) and is retired, duh!

Finally, South Padre Island. I wasn't to impressed with the trip from Laredo to here. 99% of all the gas stations could not accommodate a rig like ours. After getting down to fumes, we found an ptu lot and unhitched. Then drove the truck to get fuel. Very frustrating. How well we're fat and happy now after a belly full of shrip.

Mini-C happened

OKmunkey, papawto5, and DW Mary Ann met up in central Florida for a few hours at Barb's camp site. It has a good sized casita in her backyard. LOL. (Her friends' house) A quartet of gibbon monkeys call the place home. We solved the problems of the world but couldn't agree on a diagnosis for Tim and Wayne.

In the near future, we (the 3 of us) will have a Midi-C with Sue and Martin (Suspinz) and Carl (Bokobird) further south from our present location. Looks like a lunch date in Punta Gorda.

BTW, our strawberry shortcakes and strawberry milkshake were excellent.
