Will do.... Gotta get that notebook out.... Ours were all separate trips....
But i will say, we stayed up on the grand canyon rv park..... Rather than drive up each day..... There were elk roaming the sites.... Good park to stay in... But we were not there during out of school times, so that might be harder to get reservations..... That would be your first consideration.... When you can get in....... Plan around when you can get in........

But when that rain does come - Palo Duro gets wet and muddy. We were then when a little of that rain fell.

That is what they said on their website, Watch the flood levels, or something like that.........

Good morning mutants!
It looks like my honing in on Bryce Canyon for August 15thish is starting to take hold.
I have noted a KOA and several other places in the area all in the 6K - 8K foot elevation which should be high enough to provide reasonable day and night time temps (speaking of Temps).

There is no guarantee that any of us can make a date months in advance as our journey is the destination, but in talking with the BC contingent (Dog and Possum) Aug is a potentially favorable time frame. Mini-Dogpatch goes back to school the first week of September so anything past August would be completely out of the question.

It's now time to find a location and see if we can make Bryce work. As for establishing a First Ever Winter Solstice Curiosoty, I know we have a built in Arizona Contingent and that will be our journey in December. Even now - Slickest1 of the North Country, Dave and Nola, Dave and Deb, and Jeff and Marcia are there (and probably others). So that's a logical place FEWSC to take place in Winter 2015/16 date TBD.

I have not found the place for either - Aug or Winter so any and all ideas are welcome.

A family celebration (Annies' niece turning 21 yippee) is putting us in Las Vegas at the worst possible time - July 19th - 26th when the temp will avenge 107 (I know, it's a dry heat). So we will be 250 miles from Bryce and ready for a change in elevation.

We are still considering are jiurney back south to Arizona from Bryce which could take us north to Idaho as I had originally pondered or we may follow Tim east a bit and south into Colorado and New Mexico. It's the journey, remember the journey .

So use the Contact Us form

http://www.rvmutants.com/contact-us.html

if you have Bryce location ideas... or Arizona ideas. It's sprinkling here so time to turn thoughts to today. Have a glorious mutation and watch for rainbows! They're everywhere.

Windy here in Tucson. 25-30+ until tomorrow. Yikes! Deep slides are in.
If I had a good box kite I could fly to Yuma....or maybe Los Algodones. Can you say "salt rim"? Better bring my passport!
Have a great day wherever you are, STMs!

I get that "got a treat?" look from several fur faces every day. I don't, but they kiss my hand anyway.
We are on the main road thru camp. A never ending parade of pups that love everyone.
He looks so deprived, Steve. Those sad, pleading eyes.

Wally would bark it around and Steve would end up with a fur faced peanut gallery!

Tim if your planning on staying at the RV park at the Grand Canyon then you better get on the phone now cause they may already be booked. That place books up early every year. We stayed in Williams on Rt66 and drove out each day. Williams is a great little town too with shops and good restaurants, live entertainment etc. the drive to the canyon is bout 45 min. And it's a nice easy drive.
