I don't do Facebook and I sure as h*ll DO NOT NEED that BS. Friends and family have been trying for years to get me "on" facebleck as I prefer to call it, so today I sat down and tried to fill out a profile. If you don't use one of their canned answers they deem it INVALID. No place is there an option to say the highways and back roads are my current city and all of the USA is my hometown. Well they can just shove their canned answers up...

After all, I am an RV Mutant and I like it that way. Rant over<heavy sigh> Gee, I feel so much better now.

My bumper sticker reads:

Well, FB is not an often-visited venue for me, but it does allow me to see what my kids and grands are up to! I'm there, but I lurk.

No, I dont need it, but I "use" it.
Mutation on being an RV Mutant!

I have to admit I have a page, but it is totally private. I only have two friends, DW and DS. It does allow me to see into other areas but I don't ever comment or leave a trail.

I could not have said it better. And like any other web page, I can see the value of visiting, especially to view photos and such. How many stories have we heard of young people who didn't get a coveted job with a respectable company because of what they made PUBLIC that should have been kept secret.

When did being deliberately stupid become funny? I just don't get it.

I had a FB page for a couple of hours and turned it off. I visited it later and there were people on it that I had never heard of or seen before. I replied to one lady looking to date and she said: "leave me alone, I don't know you".

Thought about buying stock when FB went public. That would have been a big mistake. Shoulda bought Google when it did. $$$$$$$$$$$

The best thing about Facebook is if your kids are on it. Mine love to take pics of their kids and family stuff so its easy to keep up my gallery of the family just downloading the pictures' and it was also useful for marketing my business.

But unless you have a time machine, or reliable crystal ball -- who's to know which will soar and which will sink?

My broker is holding some monies for if/when the market goes down and he can get me some reliable high dividend stocks. I sold the stocks my parents gave me when the market hit a high.

I told him "something" had to happen the day before Boston. Didn't keep the market down long enough.

Dunner, you must lead a charmed life -- or have a good crystal ball.

There are posts on FB from wives stating that their husbands are deployed for 6 months or more, and on, and on, and on. Not a bright thing to do. Personal lives should be personal and not posted on a public media.

Sometimes I wonder about my posts on this forum.

Fortunately when we travel someone is staying her at the sticks and bricks.

I wouldn't call it charmed. I've made a few enemies. I've been messed over thru the years, some from my own fault, but managed to recover.
