Yeah, fun stuff! It's amazing we survived-- no helmets, no carseats, swing sets, wooden baseball bats, creeks to play in. So many of the fun things are now illegal or not even made anymore.

I was a dental assistant on and off from 1969 until 1982. We used mercury mixed with silver powder to make amalgam dental fillings. We would have to squeeze the extra mercury out of the mixture in a piece of cloth. We touched it all the time and the offices were totally contaminated with it. Now you have to call a hazmat crew if you break a thermometer.

Hey Judy. Also to you, Sue. We so much appreciate your concerns.

We get to Denver today, then our first (new) goal of Canon City. Too much damage and turmoil up in the area of Boulder and Loveland. Another time for them.

Sue. We had to (against my RVM montra) hurry (well, not dawdle) to Western MN to visit folks before they left town. If we had stopped at Amana, you and us would still be in that area doing Mutual Mutations and pondering way too much. ;-)

However, while at Elbow Lake, MN, did see one of the finest sunsets ever. And a very fine sunrise the next morning.

Glad you're safe and have wheels so you can mutate your plans easily! Yes, it would have been a fun Ponder Time, indeed. And with RVM21 here at the rally, too, it would have been Very Fine, an increase by 50% over previous Curiosities. Ponder that!

"sick twisted RVMs." -- I resemble that remark!

We're all off home or elsewhere down the road today. It has been a super rally, in spite of its almost not happening. Thanks to NLOVNIT, JohnRR, and others behind the scenes, it did.

I haven't heard an official announcement about next year yet. Gotta pump NLOVNIT (Lori) for info so I can pass it on to y'all.

Fantastic pics, BTW! Love those bright ones, although I confess to seeing more -sets than -rises. ;D

Cheers!
Sue

Iiiii'mmmm Bbbbaaaack! Home that is. Left on August 15, got back yesterday, Friday 13th. Just caught up on 10 pages or so of meandering verbage, mutant style. I'm so glad you kept up the banter, mutant style.

If I have any mutated words to share, I'll be-a-postin'!

Les. get off the internet and at that brake. Try to fix it in place. Bring medium hammer and screwdriver. and plenty of rags.

I have to get the coach home first. Still at the mechanic shop. Going to get it this morning. Have to stop at the tire shop first to fix the inside rear tire after some stupidity. While polishing my Alcoa's with the Mothers Mini Powerball on a drill, I wrapped the valve extension hose from the inner tire around the ball. Probably ripped a hole in the braided line. Lost all the air in the inner tire. What a dough head!

Lets see........Lesson #563 learned........Check!

The slide out "kitchen" looks like something folks who mostly tailgate NASCAR and ball games would find useful. A mutant needs the space to carry things like

The little Cuisanart Grill is all Annie and I need and it and the Coleman 3 burner take up very little space. That leaves plenty of room for the smoker which breaks down into three pieces. The three together are smaller and lighter than a slide kitchen and can be stored in any bay. I'm also not sold on a grill that is basically fixed next to the side of the MH. I do like the idea of an outdoor sink and refer or freezer / ice maker. For now - don't have em and don't miss em. Liking the idea of something has always been ok for mutants and is often the basis of a ponder or mod.

Ponder on mutants.

Thanks for the attribution. I'll see if I can update or repost.

We are now on cruise control, heading east from the Amana Colonies on I-80. Beautiful day, plenty of fuel, cat on the bed and happy. LIG!

Cheers!
