Have you, are any mutants been to the Ballon Festival in Albuquerque?

Malvern is a family name. Every male for many generations has Malvern as one of their middle names.

Ok, folks. I need my mutant peeps to help us out. Our mobile RV mechanic's father died, and they want to sell their 2003 Dutch Star. It is in pristine condition, with recently upgraded electronics and upholstery. It has just under 50K miles and 680 hours on the generator. Tires were replaced in May 2013, and they have detailed maintenance records, including engine and drivetrain routine maintenance. It's never been in a wreck. It comes with a tow hitch and brake system.

1. Would you buy it?
2. What would you pay?
3. Am I crazy to be considering a 12 year old rig?
4. What have I forgotten to check?

P.S. Mary is ready to move in! 😜

1. Yes BUT I can't :(
2. RV Trader.

Pplmotorhomes.

3. Nope
4. If the mechanic say okie dokie, it probly is.
IMHO, the only check that may be needed is a paper one. But a check of all systems and a long test drive (all with your RV tech) I would suggest.
Probly a rare find. Many may be drooling in their tea.

Wow sounds like you may have found a wonderful deal... I'd do as Dave suggests for a idea of what the RV dude says.... just so long as you don't have to keep working longer to afford it!

R U an RV Mutant too?

Thanks for the link. It's a 41' 330hp Caterpillar with two slides. I will have to pry the door out of Mary's hands. It's way past dark and she's still sitting in there while I talk to the mechanic. Sigh.

Looks good to me. It's even, and it works. (Of course if you make a mistake and repeat it consistently? It's a pattern!)

I wonder if that family name goes back to the town of Malvern in England. Or the Malvern Hills, both in the county of Worcestershire (pronounced "woostashr"!). Could be, I suppose.
