Kumihimo, btw, was the braid used by the Samurai to secure the various parts of their armor together and onto themselves. I'm sure it goes further back than that.

It will be fun for me to watch. My fat fingers would be a hindrance not to mention remembering repetitive creative techniques.

Gotcha. Mary Ann is on the list.

Now that I have a list, that is. 😉

I don't know if Mary has seen 50 shades of gray BUT she ask if you can get gray cord and have a pattern for handcuffs!

Oh it's probably props for the Western Theme at Bryce Canyon

I actually bought one for each, these straps that go around their bodies and under their wings. I could NEVER get them to cooperate in putting them on. After many cuts and scrapes, I gave up. If I DID succeed in getting them on, I don't think they would've chewed them as it was hard to access and likely would've been flying so hard to get away from me it'd be stretched to its' length.

At this point, Mac is pretty good about staying, it's too much effort to move that 950 grams of weight. Boko is the one that'd fly so she has to stay caged (or enclosed someplace, like in the bird room at home).

And if you're wondering - can't do leashes on their legs as it'd wind up breaking them due to the fragility of their hollow bones. Not like your usual predator birds, eagles, vultures, etc., they have real tough legs, claws, etc.

Carl I know very little about birds for pets but I know we would trim the feathers on the chickens to keep them from flying off. Is that something that would help keep Boko safe from escapeing?

She wishes she were there too. Or anywhere else really... lol. But deep discounts are her territory for sure.

Yep, I did think about the jesses (??) on hunting birds. Too bad. I reckon, like cats and harnesses, you have to start them really young.

You know those big knotted braids they sell for parrots to destroy? Keep em busy fer cheap! 😝

Papaw Steve, you could do it... My fingers are very fat.... And short....
And it was as easy as move bottom to top, move top to bottom, and turn wheel 1/4 turn... REPEAT......

Make your own rainbow colored nametag lanyard.......
