Deb,

The GC@CL was a magical experience. It was the most fun I've had as a grown-up. Can you say that about geocaching?

Man wouldn't it be nice if we could get someone to teach a geocache class out at Bryce Canyon! Now who could we get?

YES, there is...we have already found a lot of caches in UT but there are a lot more to find.

Therein lies my delimma. Yes, I can say that about geocaching. We usually volunteer at the Block Party and get to meet cachers from all over the world. People fly in to Seattle just for this event. And this is the last time they are doing this event, as they are doing something different next year.

Let's see. If we go, we can definitely do that if there is an interest. I think 15,000 found caches might qualify us.

You're running in the no fly rainbow zone here... except Bob who brings his with him... but I certainly understand having a grand time doing stuff. Any stuff... and we won't have a band in Utah... except the one and Ebanizers Barn and Grill. But I will wear my cowboy hat... and Annie is looking for some boots.

At this point, Mac is pretty good about staying, it's too much effort to move that 950 grams of weight. Boko is the one that'd fly so she has to stay caged (or enclosed someplace, like in the bird room at home).

And if you're wondering - can't do leashes on their legs as it'd wind up breaking them due to the fragility of their hollow bones. Not like your usual predator birds, eagles, vultures, etc., they have real tough legs, claws, etc.

We have aviator harnesses for several of our birds. Our Catalina macaw weighs over 1300 grams, and the blue and gold is 1150. Neither are overweight, just big. A harness for them is a no go - I'm fond of my fingers.

The Eclectus hooligans will wear them if we are going outside. We have eight parrots total, six of them rescues.

We are still deliberating. I want to drive it a bit before we start whittling down the asking price. However, we got over a foot of snow last weekend and three more inches yesterday. Slipping and sliding is scary with four wheels - I don't want to try it with more.

The rig has a lot of nice goodies...but we're still on the fence. Save a little more and trade up for newer, buy this one, keep the rig we have...with no clear answer yet. Driving it may well be the deciding factor.

Sigh.

Deliberation is good... snow, not so much.
