Today our neighbor had some visitors stop by. They looked at a tree and did a few things... next thing ya know, they were gone.

PPA now lists two other parks in that area that with discounts.
Tim,

I stayed at the Passport America park on Boulder Hwy. While the people int the office were really nice and the park was clean and well maintained, each RV space was a 22' wide patch of asphalt separated from it's neighbors by a painted yellow line. Think of a parking lot for giant cars. The only reason we stayed there was because we needed to run the A/C.

We also stayed out at Lake Mead 2 years ago. There is a full hook up park, we stayed in the no hook up side. It's quite a drive to Vegas.

Personally, I wouldn't be caught dead in Vegas during the summer. It's just too frigging HOT. I doubt my A/C could keep us cool enough.

Thanks Barb, I was concerned about the heat but hate not to check it out while that close. We will be site seeing and I figure 3-4 days should do it. Got to go by Pawn Stars! Looked at the place Wayne mentioned, it looked mighty nice and they have reduced rates.

Toy Duck lives in Vegas and wife Mary owns the Hash House (not the A Go Go) and I plan to stop by to see if I can get the low down on where Don got off to. Sure miss that mutant. And his legal advice was unparalleled.

Never been there in an RV.... Never want to. We flew out in April several years ago and it was hot...... I agree our AC would not cool it.... Had a rental car, good thing Larry is ussd to city driving.... I sure woukd not..... Did drive out to Lake Mead and saw that park Barb mentioned... It was nice.... Did several other drives too..... Not my thing, but like you, not a gambler. I did enjoy the Bette Midler show we saw.... AND the painting that us currently in the AR Art Center exhibit was from a photo i took in the old strip...... Pretty blue bottles of SKYY.

Larry was there long time ago in an rv, but not sure where he was, behind some hotel...
Remember Colleen is there as much as she is in Kansas. Ask her at Redux....
