Tim,

Pawn Stars shop is a HUGE disappointment. It's a dumpy pawn shop with more t-shirts and tourist chachis than anything. The boys that you see on the show are no where to be seen unless it's a taping day -- but they won't let you in unless you have something really interesting to sell. And it's much smaller than you think. I found it a total waste of time.

We historically got to see these things from a nearby campground. Alas I think they are now grounded forever.

Oh no, RVM0 has a permanent place in my heart. Anything created for TV or by Hollywood is suspicious in my mind.

I was just trying to save Tim bit of time.

Tim - don't forget
Every Billy the Kid Museum
Biggest ball of anything
Corn Palace
Rattlesnake ranches
Places named Tombstone
Petrified wood
Pink sand
Big holes in earth
Hangar 51
Big Tex
Winter in RGV
Free 72 Oz steak in Amarillo
etc...

Barb - I was poking ya a little but half the fun of these things is being able to say what you said. Lots of things are less than expectation but The Journey is the destination! With that expectation you're never dissapointed.

As his roundness is fond of saying - it's it what it is and it is what ya make of it.

The best part of most touristy stops for me is getting a picture of Annie standing in front of it smiling.

Party on Tim!

Tim, LV is good for shows, and if it thrills you, lovely traffic messes, and man made Disney-ish stuff. We beat that by going offroad naked (Jeep top open) and singing at the critters from a mountain overlook.
Per the tire covers:
"It's a Jeep thing. You wouldn't understand".

Party on Dave, naked and all!

If anyone wonders how I kick back let me show you my Jacuzzi!

Ok, I know you didn't think Tim to be a bubble bath type guy, so here is what really happened! Our Jacuzzi had not been working properly for a while now. Since we don't use it that often it was at bottom of fix it list till this morning. Mary had errands to run so I thought good time to make a mess in the house. Now no one needs to tell her how long it took me to fix it, but basically all I did was plug the motor back in and it started running. I suspect a hair ball are something had clogged it, don't really know but it works! Thinking now that it's running I might run some bleach through the jets just to clean it out good. Poured bleach in water in tub, came back to living room to check IRV2 and rib Dave about a Rubi and returned to a wall of foam! Now what you see is after I cleaned up that that was spilled over to floor (luckily only foam) and condensed the mountain down to what you see. Who knew purex would foam?

Tim, we did all of the Mount Rushmore area, Wall, SD, Custer, Bad Lands, Black Hills, Needles Eye (Don't take the RV up 87 to get to it, I'll send you a link.) There is a lot of sight seeing and interesting views in the area. Pretty much all within a 60 mile or so radius. We stayed at a military camp, Ellsworth AFB and it was just about centrally located. Do make reservations wherever if it is August as the kids are still out of school.

Rubis only do that on freeways. They don't like dust or dirt.
