Pretty nice day out... sunny, 27*... too bad it is being spoiled by skunky nuptuals... came home from doing dog gig and there was a skunk running around the perimeter of my house in broad daylight... didn't seem bothered at all to see me... went over to the neighbor's to see if he'd come shoot it, by the time he got here, it was gone down a hole or something.... ain't right for that skunky to be out in daytime... also, neighbor's house and mine both smell worse inside than outside... I think it's getting up under my solarium someplace...It goes under their porch I think... bowls of vinegar set about to help with stink.... so tired of this skunky! Neighbor has trapped 2 and taken them swimming in the other neighbor's pond....I'd get a 22 cal rifle, but ammo is hard to find around here... folks hoard it....

Marimbas at lunch today on Cozumel. Best tamales ever, too.
Some other ship in the background ... 4 in port today! Too many!

Hey Herb... how ya doing up there? The north wind blew in like gangbusters around 1 a.m. and had been howling ever since. It is warmer than the forecast - 52 now.

My BIL sent a pic of the ice on his trees in the backyard. Looks like we are lucky here but that's a fine distinction...

It looks like rain the next 4 or 5 days or so. Will have to work around the weather to get packed up and head north in a 2 weeks or so... thinking of Boerne for a week. Then Weatherford for 2 days and on to Melissa for 2 weeks before GC1.2. Hope there is a very positive change in weather between now and then lol.

Such a pity that so many are fighting winter weather. This is the 3rd day our afternoon highs have been in the 80's. Azaleas are blooming here and the philodendron that I used to grow as a little houseplant grows leaves that are 16" x 22" (I measured) and over 50' high up tree trunks. I can highly recommend central Florida as a great place to spend the winter.

Marty,

Could that skunk be sick? A country neighbor always warned me to avoid animals doing things out of their normal patterns. They could be rabid.

It might be splitting hairs, but I'm thinking it should be GC2@BC and the April shindig GC1.2@CL. The number defines the GC instead of the place.

Geez Barb

Skunks have a long long tail and it's 90% black with a white stripe.

Rabbits, little roundish cuties with puffball tails and long long ears; come in a verity of colours.

Your welcome.

Dennis, you are too much. I guess I should have said, "Could that skunk have rabies?" But then I call those little roundish cuties with puffball tails and long long ears; come in a verity of colours-- bunnies. As in Bugs Bunny's extended family.

Are you not getting rain almost daily... I keep checking around the country and it looks like south and central Florida are getting rain. Of course I am learning not belive the weather reporting...

Sick skunk? Pepe is a sick skunk! And prime for nuptuals.
