Good thing you're a rattler wrangler! I'd have freaked like your CG manager, too.

Did I say earlier, "Welcome!"? If not: welcome!

Just as I thought, KAS... as crazy as a loon. It's sooooo good to have like-minded company.

You gotta post pics of your... uh... your new town car. I can't wait to see the new paint job. Can I drive it first at the next curiosity?

Here in the Canon City area of Co, 6400 ft makes for more cooking time for dinner.

So, today was fun, relaxing, and snake-free.

A fine day looking around the area, and a trip to an overlook of Royal Gorge. This is a look from the top of the Gorge. If you zoom in you will see the Arkansas River, and the train track we will be on tomorrow.

The fire damage is everywhere, amazing, and quite beautiful in its own way.

I've been reunited, reconnected, redirected, and restricted, so I resemble all remarks, and rejoinders resounding about these hereabouts lately. It seems the mutants are redoubling their efforts to amaze in the maze of linguistics growing corn high here.

So another oddity just occurred here at RVM Central. I channel hopped and landed on the Antique Roadshow for a segment on Collectible Automobile Mascots - which turns out is the correct name for hood ornaments on collectible cars. Seems there is a rich history of motor mascots not only among RV mutants but car collectors as well. Perhaps one day years from now, Mort, Rocky, PTs Beaver, Sparky and the rest will be highly valued when they turn up on the Antique Mutant Roadshow.

Dave, did you go across the Royal Gorge bridge? When I was in the army, a couple buddies and I drove across. At the time (1968) it was just a turn-around on the other side. We stood at the center of the bridge and looked down.

Thanks Alan. All pictures are simply there for the taking, so to speak. Current technology makes it easy!

No, the Royal Gorge park and bridge are close until about next June. The fire last June has hurt this area, but it is so gorgeous with so much to do. Hope more folks show up to help these people survive.

I will post some pics that are tragic while beautiful at the same time.

Gorge open.
Bridge closed.
Royal Gorge train tomorrow.
Then off-road.

And always the Rainbow, pal!

Your turn on Saturday.
