Unfortunately they are well informed elk. They know exactly when hunting season starts and disappear.
They are actually about a month earlier than usual showing their faces. I always enjoy watching the babies each spring. One year we had a fawn and baby elk start to play with each other until the momma's got involved.

These folks were at least still walking and talking like normal people, unlike the spring break kids on the ship this time. Never have so many drunk so much and worn so little! Lots of eye candy for the male types, regardless of age. 😉😳

We came back today to find ripe and ripening tomatoes, more Japanese eggplants, bigger peppers. Most exciting is that the cotton plant bloomed! Exciting to me, at least.

Not Wayne. Earlene can rest easy ... this time. Not us either. Just some passing Wisconsinites on their way back to their ship on the same pier as ours.
Not Martin, not Sue. Getting tired of my own rotundity. Can't compete with Wayne (yet!) and tired of looking at my own mug. Sorry kids.
I know! The Mardi Gras mask I made for the ship's celebration! Yeah, that's the thing.

Hey Steve. Nope, not yet. Still aiming for April 1, but not sure that is going to happen due to unforeseen circumstances. In fact it appears we may not make it to Hot Springs.

It was probably Larry typing, as he hears "No," quite frequently to my guess.
