And...w're back playing catch-up again...
And look at all the important stuff I missed.
Like others, I have been with this thread from the first day or so, speedy catchup isn't required. I just can't get to it every night, so I have to play catchup every few days. I am a fast reader though. In HS I was reading around 1200-1500 words a minute with good comprehension and retainage.
I'm a little slower now - lack of practice, but I can still burn through a paperback in a day or two if I have the time.
Speaking of comprehension - did someone say duck 'pickers' or duck 'pluckers' earlier? Wasn't that a Mason Williams "Them" song?
I was pondering about those "bacon bowls" mentioned a day or so ago- nothing on that box says they contain ANY bacon...false advertising I say...

One of Bob's favorite pet peeves is when people describe something( bacon) as Crispy ... crisp is already an adjective and he claims it doesn't need the y. That and he compulsively corrects errant apostrophes. I have decided to let him at al that... at least he isn't picking on my bigger faults when he is obsessed with all the grammar mistakes around...LOL!

Today's past reading of Mutant history has been one of teary eyes. How is it that I can shed tears for a person that passed away before I even knew they existed? Dunner sounded like a very cool mutant and it makes me want to go plant a tree in his honor. I will have to reflect on that. Then as my reading continues I find out the dogpatch lost his mother too. This brought back so many memories of my own mother who passed away from breast cancer over 25 years ago and those special hospice nurses who were such a help during this time. It is a wonder how people from all backgrounds can come together and care and share with each other and lift each other up. You guys are special. I hope you know that.

Barb chose a very twisted mutant Harry Lauder's walking stick bush to plant in his honor... I am waiting for it to get a little warmer out to plant it in my yard to honor our Mutant Guardian Angel... Dunner.

Deb and Dale - geocacher... is this thread listed on the geocach apps?
All I can tell you is that we are united in our diversity and glad you found us. Some are right - some are left. Some are vocal and some are quiet. All are mutants and even on those rare occasions when things go a little sideways - we are all here for one another.
I wonder all the time where some mutants got off to and why. They have the spirit of the RVMdom with them - and the healing Omms and wishes for safe journeys from all of us who post up daily.
So here's to all 107 RVMs.
Cheers!

Time to call it a day.
Marty... I know you and Bob refer to you more properly (for lack of a better word) as Martha. Is that because Mart is already a noun and doesn't need a "y" at the end...
So I leave you this day with this...

Rvm 104 checking in. We have had a wonderful time in Navarre,FL for the past week. We have had our own personal tour guide who has lived in Pensacola his whole life, and knows all the history, and good places to eat. We haven't seen them in close to 20 years, so it has been a wonderful reunion. Sadly we leave tomorrow, but we will be exploring and staying on what the locals call the Forgotten Coast. Mexico beach, Port St Joe, and the surrounding area. After that we are going to see family on the East coast of Florids, so Hot Springs for us in April won't happen . I'm bummed, but hope we can meet some more muteys down the road.

Good morning Tim and Tom and all who cruise the rainbow.
The BoA Fraud Squad called last night and we walked through about $700 of CC charges that took place since Saturday. All of them were in Dallas. From Jack in the Box to Joann Fabrics ($200) to Yellow Cab and an Indian Restaurant. Even a $200 party at the Soda Shop in Highland Park. Card cancelled and waiting on a new one. Should be here by Friday. Hopefully it doesn't delay or journey northward. This is the first time it has happened where there may to be a fraudulent card nvolved as these are not online charges. Who knows?
So guess what else. It rained last night and is misting now. The street were on is having their annual Mountain Street happy hour and potluck at 4 this afternoon a few sites down. They have reserved a room at the center in case of rain.
That's all I've got this morning other than be safe in your journey and have fun.

Steve... I'll have to ask him...LOL! Actually, I think it is because we grew up together in the same small community and I didn't start getting called Marty until Jr. High, when I decided it was a fitting nickname. Then, when I graduated from a girls camp leadership program, I took that name because we go by bird names ( & derivations of them) at the girls camp so the kiddos don't have to suffer the formality of Miss or Mrs. to their counselors and leaders. Some folks only know me as Marty because of that. I answer to both. My sisters still call me Martha except when at camp when they have to remember to call me Marty.
