I pity the horse trying to run a race with such a jockey.

Well yesterday the horizon became the rainbow, CP Joyce and I Jerry both retired from the Univ. of Fla. same day same time, drove the MH to work and walked out to start our journey.
How many get to say that.
So here we sit the next day in Walmart lot our first, and will proceed to Savannah in a few hours, this is our first official trip just did two days at local camp with some friends who also own.
Our big trip is already planned and reservations made for Hot air balloon fiesta in NM. followed by a couple days at trailer village Grand Canyon, will visit relatives in Texas on way out.
Again Thanks when learn more will try to create signature. Jerry and CP Joyce RVM 109

Well hello Jerry. Sounds like you are getting a good start!
Not knowing how much you've read on this thread let me throw out some upcoming dates that may work into your rainbow ride.
What most folks call rallies we mutants call Grand Curosities or GC. We have one planned in a couple weeks, April 15-22 at Catherines Landing RV resort in Hot Springs, AR. ( that's on your way to Texas ). We have no fees or dues just pay for your site and join in the potlucks and donate as you wish toward the live band! Great time to meet this group.
Also if you can't make that date we have another GC in Bryce Canyon, Utah Aug. 15-23 ( that's just north of Grand Canyon)
One other note, my wife and I are planning the Grand Canyon, LosVegas, Zion NP, Bryce Canyon, Canyonland, Arches and Moab loop and being back in Albuquerque for ballon festival before heading back home.
Maybe some of these dates will work for you, or, all of them! Of the mutants I'm the kind, careing one and safest to be around!
Welcome!

For me it makes the journey more of a destination and less drudgery. There are a LOT of miles between my summer and winter parking spots.

We each have our own reporting venue, Barb. Yours is charming.
Mine is adhock but is a basis for much ramblin words here and on FB.
Being observant is foremost. Stopping for near anything is utmost. Reading nifty stuff is so very Rainbow-ish!

Joyce and Jerry -- nice to meet you and hope to connect in person some day. Just want to echo Tim's invitation to mini-C (that's what mutants call gathering together for fun and mischief). We will be leaving Florida next week headed to Hot Springs, AR then Oklahoma City, Idaho and eventually Seattle for the summer. Meandering journeys spiced with meeting and making new friends is the rainbow I ride. Meeting other RVMs is particularly pleasurable.
Congrats on the recent retirements! It's your time now and you'll be shocked at how quickly you adapt to this new lifestyle. Enjoy Savanah!

Some of you may recall that Paul Byrd can get a whole lotta sound out his guitar and they play the blues, old rock, some country, a surf tune or two, and even some original material. It should be a luau to remember.
We have a smaller group this year but I have way more Bacardi Siver, Dark and 151 and two 5 gallon food safe buckets to mix them in... bring your party hats and Hurricane glasses if you still have them from last year. We donated the surplus to Papa Steve the Lucid One last year so we can't provide them this year.
Party on Wayne. Party on Garth. Party on Mutants. Hey we don't have a Garth??? Yet!

Warren, you should come on down here to Hot Springs for the GC! What maybe a 5hr drive. Meet lots of mutants then caravan back with Barb and Sena! We all would love to meet you!
