Last night, after dissolving into a puddle for a few minutes, I went back to the coach to do a few more things. I tried to ignore the gaping chasm with all the ugly plumbing.

Then this morning I woke up, got on the 'puter before heading back out to the coach and dissolved into a puddle again ... only for a different reason. You guys are unbelievable. Kate & I are amazed at your compassion and kindness and offers to fix our plumbing. If, after looking at the pictures and getting the scoop, you still want us to head to CL "as-is", we'll do it! Just give us a bill after you're done!

We are coming toad-less because we haven't bought one yet. (Will do that this summer, likely.) So, if we need to pick up supplies or parts, we'll have to beg for a ride to Wally World or whatever plumbing supply store is in Hot Springs. (Or maybe we can just rent a car after we get there.)

Ok, here's the ugly truth ...

Dwayne, believe it or not nobody on Vancouver Island has the Tee you told me about. I called my step son (plumber) and he says he has one of the original Tees that is in Gracie and will be here to fix it ASAP. Strange thing is I forgot I have a plumber in the family.
Thanks for the advice.

R U an RV Mutant too?

Timster ... On the road yet?

You caused us to rethink our route, for which I think we thank you. 😳 We are going past Prattville, on 82, but not up to Memphis. Wish us luck going across through Winona. Might look for a Cracker Barrel to overnight.

Hope the house battery holds up!

Safe journeys, all who motate and mutate today.

PS: So far the road (US82) is fine, after a bit of a bumpy start.
Over the river
And through the woods
To Redux we will go!

Mel & Kate's plumbing fiasco

One of the problems I have is that I cannot budge that white grey water pipe. I mean, it won't move. I tried pushing it back toward the black pipe (the one from the sink), but it doesn't budge. I have no idea how anyone ever got it connected to the black pipe in the first place! It must've been tighter than grandma's girdle!

The photo of under the sink shows the black sink drain pipe going through the thin wall, which separates the under-sink area from four drawers. The plumbing is behind the drawers. There's also a panel to the left of the drawers that I removed to reveal more of the plumbing.

I await the advice of many wise ones.

Mel

GC1.2 Redux RV Repair Team. Just spoke to Mel... she is fixin' to post pics of the offending pipe. It's the sink drain pipe to the gray water tank. No brainer... paper plates and dishes in the shower... lol.

I have assured her and Kate that there will be a line of mutants repairing and supervising. Also probably a good idea to have some Pina Coladas on hand....

Mel & Kate,
Have no fears regarding transportation to WW or CW, or wherever. Besides our car there are many more that will offer rides.

Looking at the pictures it looks like the lower left picture is the major culprit that broke away from drain. I'm not sure what the top right picture is unless it is the end of the white hose and it somehow got broken. I'm going out on a limb here and saying that there will be many that can fix that, and I'm still available for supervising.

Kate and Mel's plumbing fiasco

Most of the pictures are on page 2013. Here's one giving the view from back a little bit.

Oops! Picture is on it's side! The vent is supposed to be the bottom of the photo.
Can somebody flip it, please?

Kate, regarding picture 3 of 4:

Do any of the drawers hit the white pipe when they are in place and closed?
If they do, then the pip does need to be re-routed to the back side of the drawer.

If they don't then I suspect that the black pip will rotate to meet the white pipe, but that is only if they stayed true to most drain systems and (old tyme engineers) did not glue the pipes in place.

The piece with the chunk out does not appear to be the problem. You can see where the line is when the two pipes were connected (no glue). Check to see if the drawers clear the white pipe. If they do, GENTLY see if you can rotate the black pipe at any of the elbows.

Questions: Where does that straight pipe under the sink come from? It also drains through the separated pipe.

Run the bathroom sink and see if water comes out the black broken piece. Run the shower and see if it comes out the broken piece. If any do, don't use - the experts will fix at CL. (Not Clear Creek)

To Redux we will go!

Vicksburg MS has a great rv park at Ameristar Casino. Not much between there and Hot Springs. McGehee has a tiny WMart bad parking lot,Dumas has no Walmart.

We have stayed at the casino before when too long to drive in up. Jackson MS has places too but i would stop before. Over river is Talulah LA. No real good place there.

Diane toftSFM #64....... (The Original Fast Talking Sliding Finger Mutant) and is retired, duh!
