R U an RV Mutant too?

Thanks everyone!
All is repairable.
We patched up temporarily for overnite and will do more permanent stuff in sunshine tomorrow.
Ed (rezman) is my TOTAL HERO. Up sealing stuff with bags and tape, and prepping the skylight for plexiglas. I would NEVER been able to get sealed up before dark!!!!

I ran off to the local Lowes and picked up 3 small tarps, two for the a/c's and one for the skylight. Had lots of bungees and put some around the tarp on the a/c's but the skylight was a pain, used a lot of tape, put some bricks up there as well to hold it down (I use the bricks under Mac's house when the slide moves in). Should hold until proper repairs can be made.

I talked to a lot of mutants here and pretty much all got hit by some kind of damage, some worse than others. But hey, it's just material stuff that all can be repaired so no big deal with everyone being safe and all.

Yesterday I really wanted to be there with everyone. Today I wish y'all were her with me. Lots of rain, but no damaging hail. Hang tough guys, mutants never quit. Varb, hope Sena is okay.

The storm

The storm certainly lived up to the warnings. No tornado warnings, just heavy thunderstorms with hail.

The roadway to our front turned into a river. Then the river began to look like a P51 fighter plane was hitting it with machine gun fire. LOTS of machine gun fire. Multitudes of quarter sized hail, lots of half dollar sized hail, some silver dollar sized hail, and a few larger than that. The MH sounded like 40 people were up on the roof with 2 hammers each.

We'll attempt to post a video of the sight out of our windshield.

Well, we didin't have it as bad as some others, but we still got hit. One skylight is totally damaged. The entire skylight will have to be replaced. As an interim fix, Dave (JNE) and I went to lowes and purchased some storage containers. cut them down for size and placed one over the skylight on my MH and attached it to the skylilght surround with sheet metal screws. Should last until we get back home, but if I can find a skylight cover I'll put it on and still replace everything when we get back home.

I also lost a rear running light.

The car has some dings on the hood but the full glass sliding roof did not have any damage that I could see. All the windows are intact without cracks. More inspection will be needed tomorrow.

No damage to physical being so that is good.

Thank you Dave for your help. Could not have done it without you. Semper Fi!

Later.

X2 for Mel and Kate, and hopefully SarahW and her hub were safety tucked in someplace as well, I don't know if Tim had a special fence put up, cause we haven't heard from him yet.

Wow. I'm glad all the mutants, their pets and mascots are safe. Sorry to see all the damage to everyone's rigs. It sounds like there are some very creative uses of everyday stuff for temp fixes and note to self: add a few items to our new rig for emergencies such as this.

I'm thinking about making a instant water heater I will build a prototype for my MH and if it works like I think it will then Ill make more of them. for the people like us that like long showers. it will still use your water heater but this will be more like a preheater. so in my mind it will allow more hot water faster. I'll start the build on the 3rd. wish me luck.

Good news is, no one hurt, good news is I called my son while it was pounding us and told him to take cover, later he said the hail never made it past our fence line, turned south and hit parts of town, no damage at S&B, good news is no injuries from the Olympics, but maybe some sore muscles, good news is the Rubi might be closer than I think, my truck looks like it was in a war zone, good news is our normal toad, safe in garage at S&B, good news is I have my appetite back and thinking about breakfast,

Bad news......well I've got to get up out of my chair and pour my own coffee.
Thank you lord for another great day and the means to deal with any problem.
