The Silver Bullet tows a trailer for IGoFast Racing. A couple of motorcycles and a child's bicycle live in the trailer; haven't seen anyone but the man of the house yet.

Doncha love the checkered flag stripe and semi-matching awning? How long has it been since Airstream quit building Class As? I like it.

Keep that thang outa hail's way!

Show them the one to the right of it..... With the fancy door.......

The spots are all easy to get into and level. The one attraction is the Lambert's Cafe, home of the "Thrown Rolls". You won't go hungry and it is entertaining. Lines are often 1 hour or more for the wait but if you have the office call you a shuttle for the 5 minute drive, the driver will take you right on in and seat you at the first available table. Worth a $5 tip. BTW...they only take CA$H. That is our normal last stop before getting "home".
Don - we made reservations at Hinton while in the RGV and can hardly believe we'll be there tomorrow afternoon for 2 nights. You had told me about it and I read your review on Trip Advisor I think it was. Then a 1 night stop in Effingham and on to Carlock for 2 weeks, then Amana Colonies for a week. It looks like we'll spend a month somewhere around Sioux Falls where we'll have the hail damage on the CRV repaired.

Been thinking about how to spend the time in SD since we'll have a rental car for a month towing is out of the question. May see about a hotel in Deadwood and slum it a while. It's all up in the air at this point. Have rental insurance will mutate... PaladinMutant...

If you have not been to the Amana Colonies before...enjoy all the fudge and bad stuff you shouldn't but will want to eat! The restaurants are well liked by many but the ones with the more traditional German food are not our cup of tea. We stayed at Lake McBride State Park north of Iowa City so we drove into the colonies a couple different days. The CG at AC seems nice.

If you get a chance try to get over to the Hubert Hoover Presidential Library in West Branch. We found it more interesting then expected.

Well, for Sandee it isn't a done deal yet and may wait to next spring. Gunny...well, we are ordering a cart because his back legs are getting very close to not functioning for walking. We don't know if he will be with us a week or a year but we have to try something as long as he continues to be alert and eat well. Basically he has ALS and it will continue progressing until we have no choices left.

FYI...We are at D&W until May 29th.

We're staying at the colonies. We were fortunate to make two good friends in the RGV that were work campers at Tip of Texas. They are working the colonies again this summer and have gotten us a site near them. Really looking forward to seeing them again. Annie has German heritage and we expect to fill the freezer with sausage and other German delights. With GC1.2 Redux behind us we have space inside and out that Annie will want to fill with memories. but she's happy - except when she looks at CRV-Mutant... :( but she's getting past it.

Will you wear your grass skirt? Will Elizabeth eat tofu, will Paul and Chris show you how to eat hot peppers. Will the restaurant ever be the same. Will Mary make everyone laugh with stories of Tim, Clay and Eds antics at the iRV2 shindig? Tune in Wednesday for the exciting conclusion of the Thai Midi-C in Virginamtns territory. Woot!

Thanks for the update on Gunny. It's all almost as hard on you two as it is on Gunny, but he will adjust quickly to the cart, I bet, and be a happier pup.

We will look forward to seeing you at D&W! Coming full circle, aren't we?

Must be! Oh yes, the one with the pretty door -- a converted semi. Two thru-the-wall ACs, three windows, a glass insert door (from Lowe's maybe). And a saggy wood back porch. All this on a standard 53' trailer. 😳

Wonder what the interior is like. Could be anything from Gloom Mansion to really nice built-ins. I'm thinking more the former.

Anyone buy anything interesting while we all were in Hot Springs? We were in an antique and collectable shop & had to get this:
