It never did before the nimrod touched it! I will also verify if anything else is on that line. All I have to do is flip the GFI off and check voltage at various outlets. They installed a replacement Amish CU - and two additional fans. He tested it with fans offline and it kicked off too. So that's eliminated as well as the board by checking with new board. He was guessing control panel on fridge when I told him he had it for 3 weeks and I was through paying for his education.

I know that it is only dropping AC as the control box alarm and no AC flash. So DC remains connected. We are moving to the 6 day spot in a bit and I'll play with it then - and know what happens on LP. It's still cold although temp rose a few degree when Annie added several bottles of Old Speckled Hen ale and Sam Smiths Nut Brown ale. Also a bottle of Zing Zang Bloody Mary Mix and some Tonic Water.

Thanks for the suggestion. More to follow! We're 50 miles from our lake view getaway. The journey is Grand! Wait til I post a pic of Sparky's new friend and the other stuff Annie packed and we don't need LOL.

HMMM...

Maybe, maybe not but let me put a twist...this has the makings of a major ponder.

Steve, when you loose power do you loose the entire readout on the front of the refer? If that is the case I think you are having a 12V power supply problem. If you still have a control panel read out...what does it say? If you don't have a read out...what do you do to get the refer running again?

I agree that the AC heating elements for the refer should be on there own 15A breaker. The fastest way to verify that would be to turn off the refer breaker and see if any other outlets (coffee pot?) in the kitchen area are also dead. Turn the breaker back on and double check the outlets to see if they are live.

It doesn't sound like the refer breaker trips since you haven't said that. That being said, it doesn't make sense that low voltage to the AC heating elements would cause the refer to shut down and stay shut down without the help of 12V control circuits going on the fritz.

There should be no interconnectivity between the 110V system and the 12V system except through the 12V system controlling when 110V goes to the heating elements. The worst case scenario that I think could happen is if a sudden drop in the 110V system causes a drop in the 12V system...that doesn't make any sense either unless you have power management problems but even that would require low batteries.

Steve,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble with a finicky fridge, I had trouble with mine as well, but it boiled down to needing a new recall box for my Norcold 1200 and reattaching another wire that somehow had wiggled its way loose.

I know this isnt the trouble you are having, but I hope you figure it out soon. Im sure if you mutate on it a bit you may come up with some solutions.

Cheers !!!

The RVM news letter looks like it will be a success.
We have definitely mutated a lot in the past 5 months.

Thank you to all involved.

Tip of the hat to you and all mutants for making us 50 strong. I hope some of the lost mutants return soon. They are likely to miss a GRAND Curiosity in April!

Well Sparky and his new gal Sophie are having a mutant mascot of time here in Marble Falls. They didn't want to come out of the water but when I told em we were getting ready to have some ribs they hopped right out.

Pic to follow when I get wifi on the iPhone

To restart - start with a re. Just turned it off - and back on electric and worked. Ran on propane from about 11 am to 3 pm. Worked fine. Temps holding at acceptable acceptable levels. Been running on auto AC without shut down or swigging to gas the past 2 hours.

Forgot to mention nimrod repair guy sent us down the road with the hot water heater and washer and washer / drawer breakers flipped off. Guess he just threw a handful of em to turn fridge off and never flipped them back on.
Old Speckled Hen time. But Sparky is hoggin it.

Grand Curosity? You mean the one at Catherine's Landing near Hot Springs, AR that will be held April 24 thru 30th 2014 and that only a hand full of mutants have committed to attending thus far. The one that our founding Flaggship1 has expressed it as "a possibility" on an appearance? The one where our mutant mascot, and her driver, will travel all the way from Florida to attend? Well if its that Grand Curosity, then I can't wait!!!

(Ok, just trying to keep the announcement in front for all to see.)

If I can sell my boat and get the RV ready in time I WILL be there. I'd even sacrifice a full (gasp) pound of bacon for the privilege of attending. Please all cross your fingers!!

Why yes, that's very one I'm referring to. Although some may be morel mushroom hunting and others mutating elsewhere - there is still plenty of time for mutants to plan for and respond here for the Grand Curiosity at Catherines Landing near Hot Springs Arkansas - April 24th - 30th.

It's a beautiful place to mutate - as Herb and Barb have attested. There will be views similar to this pic I snapped from our patio mutatable on Lake LBJ.

Don't be left mutating alone - plan on a Grande Curiosity next April. Tim is taking names - and this pretty much guarantees a couple more editions of RVM News.

I don't always read newsletters, but when I do, I read RVM News.
