Actually at that moment she was rubbing her right ear with her right foot. The dark area to the right of her face is the sole of her foot. I really wish I was half as talented.
She is always thinking and always watching everyone and everything within her field of vision. Those are essential qualities for life in any jungle -- those with trees and those without them.

Needless to say that I was suffering through the day after the night before syndrome and my buddy Charlie informed me as to the cause of the queezie tummy and blurry vision and the headache in my left eye. He said it was all about the way i drank my scotch. He stated simply6 and succinctly that I should always drink Scotch neat because what I was suffering from was the result of bad ice. Not overindulgence, not alcohol poisoning; nothing but bad ice.
Well I just found out from my other train buddy Ira that Charlie has passed away and he is by now sitting on a dry cloud somewhere with a neat Scotch in his hand toasting memories. If you would all indulge me just a tad, this evening about nightfall could you please face Hilton NY and send a salute to a real great modeler and lifelong friend. A fine educator, a terrific model figure and great volunteer firefighter. Goodbye Charlie.

Well Garry took a turn for the worse last week and we spent a lot of time with him and his wife Pat. The Lord took him home last Friday and Barb and I along with his family and many many friends have a huge hole in our hearts now. Believe me when I say that heaven got a good good man! His funeral is tomorrow and it's going to be difficult to watch one of my closest friends of 30+ years be laid to rest. They too were rainbow riders and I always had hopes of recruiting he and Pat when he got well because you would have loved them as much as we did.
Please pray for the family as they try to move forward. They are strong in their faith, strong in each other but will need lots of love after tomorrow. As always, I'm thankful for our mutant family and your unwavering support. I will be back soon!

I missed seeing nightfall tonight, but as I was driving home from having dinner with a good friend, there was a beautiful full moon just coming up in the east. It was like a huge juicy orange just sitting atop the trees.
That moon was for Charlie and Garry, of that I am certain. May all of their loved ones soon find peace without their physical presence.

Thanks to all our mutant family for sharing our grief and all. The world lost two fine people of late and it does feel so much better having a large extended family to share our sad times with. Herb, Ohmms from our house to yours too.

Very nice! I bet she'll love it. Now we have some that needs to be done in our s&b. When can you make it to Idaho?

Here's a ponder for ya!
Here in Oklahoma there seems to be a lot of interest in gasoline without ethanol. Last year when I was here, non-ethanol gas was about 10 cents per gallon more expensive and only a few stations carried it.
This year the price has skyrocketed. Unleaded with is $2.199/gal but without at the same station is selling for $2.459! Now, even the 7-11 Stores are selling both. Several stations I've passed are selling non-ethanol and diesel for the same price.
Has something changed that is making ethanol THAT much cheaper than unleaded? Ponder that my friends.

Has anyone heard from Tina of late? I lived in that neck of the woods North America when I was into model railroading big time. One reminisce lead to another and I thought bits been a while since I read anything from her.

Dennis and Herb,
So sorry to read about the passing of those that are dear and close to you, I have shared a toast listening to the winds sing through the trees, now they are no longer in pain, and just perhaps they will be part of the saints keeping our rainbows bright.
Cheers to you my friends ...
