Stayed inside Yellowstone for week, then in Tetons. I really liked the Tetons, not as crowded, and bigger spaces, Flagg Ranch Resort..... This was within driving distance of both...

And I concur. I have been as early as June and as late as September. It has to get below freezing and stay there for hours - and not warm up for the tanks and water lines to be an issue. You open cabinet doors and run heat - and it should be OK even it drops below freezing a few hours at night, as long as sun shines and warms up in morning.

When we lived in Tyler over 10 years ago, that happened. Tragically, a pit bull running loose in a rural neighborhood attacked and killed a 2 yr old child. An unspeakable horror.
Irresponsible people should not own dogs. Period.

Give me the date window you think we would be good to be there, given the fact that Bow's holding tanks are NOT heated. I was thinking we'd be safe by late June, like around 6/22-6/28. Whatcha think?

We will be there after you. We will be in Yellowstone the second week of July and are staying in W. Yellowstone. Our daughter is flying in from SC to meet up with us so we get to spend time with her and 2 of our grandsons. Can't wait.

My sis and BIL absolutely love the Jackson Hole area and seem to go back there every year, though they have been "snowed in" more than once.
We are considering the GC @ Bryce but still discussing. I think our Bounder has developed a radiator leak but probably just a hose clamp. It's always something. RVing is not for the faint of heart.

I hope we see you at Bryce. Mary's husband Bob will take you flying... and we're going to a dinner show...

Ok here is my 2 cents I have lots of friends there. Well in star valley. You can go now and be fine. Leave before September 1 we got snowed in for a hole winter. 20 feet of snow and -40°for months. The people are amazing in star valley. If you like Boondocking then grays river loop is a must! Enter in alpine go as far as you want pull off the road set camp for free oh the road is dirt and 85 miles long. When you see old faithful if you're like me you will go wow ok I'm done. The animals in yellow stone are great to watch. It is so beautiful from Yellowstone down to Smoot WY. And Bryce is a must stop thinking about it and just do it. It's not to far away. Oh and in Afton Wyoming is a free dump station across from the fire department. Have fun and spread your wings and just sore

Not to worry, Di. We wouldn't dream of taking off like that without a toad! We will be buying one this summer. We both travel with our jobs, so don't want to get the toad too soon, because one of us will be putting a lot of miles on it for the last 7 or 8 mos before we leave FT.
But, we don't want to do too much RVing without a toad, either. So we will be looking for our toad this summer. None of our current 3 vehicles are flat-towable. (06 Toyota Corolla, 2010 Prius, & 96 Rav 4.) already checked. Will sell the 2 older vehicles.
When we do get our toad, the Mutants will be the first to know. Pictures will be posted!

I camped for a week in Yellowstone and Tetons in my 79 conversion van. Loved it. Always wanted to go back.
I'll check out those places you mention. Good info! Thanks so much.
