So glad Annie's dad is home now. His neighbor's place look like something from Better Homes & Garden. Beautiful.

Y'all enjoying Amana Colonies?

That is frightening ... and the reason to check tires and pressure daily. Gave me the heebie jeebies watching that.

'scuse me. Gotta go check the tires before I meet Barb tomorrow afternoon!

Good morning Mutants !!!,

I woke up today knowing I was forgetting to send along a Public Service Announcement, friends of ours driving in WY, had their toad come detached from their motorhome. So perhaps every month or two check the welds on your tow hitch.

REMEMBER: If you have a blow out, especially on the front, accelerate, accelerate, accelerate gently. If you put on the brake or take your foot off the accelerator bad things can happen. Once under control slow down gradually and pull to the side of the road. There is going to be a lot of pressure on the steering wheel so beef up your muscles.

Any damage to the car? Seems to be intact. Did the emergency brake system work? Tks.

No damage to the car, only the welds broke on the hitch on the Moho, damage to the towbar itself, they were driving about 30 mph when in his back cam he noticed the car backing away. They had just slowed down from 60 mph on I-25.

Jeff do you know if the braking system worked as designed? I always wonder what would happen.

Hail damage update

Our HHR (car) is in its second full week of repairs. New hood, roof, front fenders, headlight assembly, rear hatch, and some dents dealt with and the part saved from replacement. Another week should finish it up. All for $7,677.00. Basically a new body on a 4 year old car.

Finally, finalized the estimate on our motor home. $4,100 for all new awnings/topper, vent covers, A/C shrouds, skylight, and rear brake light.
The tech will be looking for hidden damage as they replace things on the roof.

$0.00, I say zero, deductible on both. We went to zero before our trip to Alaska in 2013. LARGE savings for an extra $8.00 a month.

Thanks Colleen. He seemed fine last night and glad to be home. A little weak but to be expected.

Hi Tim, I'm not sure if there is an additional braking system in the car.

Annie and I have gone stealth for the day. We were going to leave for Amana today but decided to sit another day. My cold and the stress of dads stay in the hospital had us both a little tired. Glad we packed up yeaterday. It will make journeying on tomorrow much easier. We said our goodbyes last night and will roll out when ready tomorrow.

Hope all are doing well on the rainbow.

Papaw Steve - the HHR will be good as new and live a long happy life. Glad they didn't total it! I'm beginning to think totaling vehicles is a racket. With Annies old jeep - they wanted to total it based on a very low value based on its age. I had them come look at it and the added $$ and we took the salvage title. Friends and I fixed it in the driveway and drove it for years with money in our pocket.

Steve.
We've just received our loss adjuster's estimate for the Tuscany - running about $5k but could be more. He said take it to a shop of our choice. I would like to run it over to Thor at Elkhart but that's some distance. Where are you getting your rig fixed?
