I would always say to my Dad, "I woulda caught the whopper if it wasn't for..."

In every situation he would ALWAYS retort, "Ya Ya, the dog woulda caught the rabbit to if he didn't stop for a [moderator edit]"

My Dad had a saying for everything. Miss that about him.

These two motored up sometime after 11 pm last night. They're still sleeping. They're anchored at the bow and pivoting about 90 degrees every few minutes. Never slept on a boat like that. Wonder how the motion affects sleeping if at all. Glad the Bounder is stationary.

I like sleeping on a boat--like being rocked to sleep. I think a train would be the same way. I can sleep in a car or even on the ground. I think the worst place in the world to sleep is an airplane!
BTW just woke up in my comfy TT, and this is the view out my window.

Temp is 45--that's below my threshold of comfort, but should warm up quickly.

Now that there is a view!! Would there be room for my 38 feet there? You're near Shreveport aren't you?? 3 hour drive for us and that looks great.

Yes, but "sshhh;" not many people know about it, and I want to keep it that way.

Actually, it fills up on holidays, but most weekends there are fewer than a dozen sites taken.

Believe it or not, this Marine spent two years aboard a navy ship. Rough seas were a norm and it just rocks you to sleep. I never did have to strap myself in, but one time in 40 foot seas, when you got to the top of the wave and you were laying down in the bunk the drop was like a free fall ride at a carnival.

Hey TEFFY - if your Tiffin is missing a few bells and whistles and ya don't miss em - and are happy with your coach - tell us a thing or two ya don't have - and become RVM24. We RV Mutants are a happy and diverse group and we make the journey the destination. Step right up and join the fun. If ya don't know for sure - go back to page 1 and read all about us and how RVM got started. We even have a logo and a Monkey for a Mascot.

We will have to try Caddo SP. Never been there, but we usually get a TX. state parks pass and that's nearby.

I don't mind a "parking lot" RV park if we're just passing through and need to stop overnight, but if I am going to spend any time there, I want a campground with natural scenery.

My Dad would whistle his "fish call" when they weren't biting. It never got the fish to bite, but us kids would giggle at his silliness and forget how bored we were.

Haha!
My great uncle would spit tobacco juice on the bait. Son of a gun, it worked!
