ps, thanks Denise and I laughed all the way home from the post boxes.
Do you mean someone sent you a card and did not put a return address on the envelope! For shame, for shame. No brass......you know.

Now, if you would scan the card and post a picture of it, someone may own up to it.

Block out any inappropriate text. Oh! that would probably deter from the card.

Too bad ChocoMoose won't be in Bryce. I think Sven and Choco would really hit it off.

While the ladies were shopping today, Jeff and had a great day cruising the back roads - saw a buck having lunch and a pheasant running across the road. We even went to AJ'S iron works - beautiful works of art...

I took Jeff to the county park and got another picture of Possums railway bridge... lol.

Ok, I have no idea how long it will last, but I now have 4 bars of 4G internet here at Bryce. I had the same for almost 2 hours yesterday but it was around 7 pm MDT. So the cabal lite is here, it just might be a capacity issue. It could be that those giant Prevost tour buses snatched up a few dozen loads of foreign visitors and the next load isn't here yet.

So here's what I've found out at Bryce. The last 2 weeks of August are not real busy, but there are restrictions still on driving RVs past certain points in the park. On Saturday the park closed for part of the day as it was gridlock on the roads. And! There was a 2 hour wait to get on the. Shuttle bus that they encourage everyone to take. But it was a holiday weekend.

As far as the altitude -- just walking around on flat ground hasn't bothered me, but I tried to do a mild hike today and turned back due to huffing and puffing. If you plan to do anything even mildly strenuous I would suggest you come early so you can acclimate or bring supplemental oxygen. Even sitting still I notice that I breathe much deeper than I normally do. If you have any heart or lung problems PLEASE bring oxygen. Dunner doesn't need any help with RV mutant guardian angel detail.

Ok, more on this subject tomorrow.

Happy, happy to those who are celebrating, ohmmmmms to those who need them. Jay, as for tales of Texas City back in the day -- I have you beat by several decades. I was born there in 1951.

I'm assuming that there are several cell towers out of commission. I emailed my younger brother 2 days ago and haven't heard back from him. He is one of those whose cell phone is almost surgically attached. Do any of you know if the area south of downtown is one of those hard hit? How about Conroe just north of The Woodlands. Mother lives there. Thank!

Ah, the oh so svelte Sven! Where'd he (she, surely!) come from? Heck w/ ChocoMoose! I'm in love! Sorry, Choco won't be available for a while.

Y'all at Bryce will have to suffer through w/o us. I know; it'll be tough. But RV rallies are really tough w/o an RV on hand. Or even a yurt. As it is, Papa Thor may have to board Bella for us if repairs are not complete by the time we're scheduled to leave for England.

I'd drive halfway across the country (if I could stay awake) to GC w/ RVM family. We'll fly 1/4 around the earth to visit family & friends. They do sound similar. Too bad we can't do both!

Oh man I love this! I am so sorry everyone if going through the horrible weather. We almost moved to Midlothian a few months ago and they were evacuated today.

Hope every Mutant is safe out there.

Ooo! Looking like a sweet ride.

Okay, Your a back.

You're in Houston? We're in Texas City. Paddle on down and see us.

Well then, a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Earlene has a Fitbit. I get my exercise just mentally thinking about what she says she has done. Wait until you go shopping and take an escalator or elevator up several floors. You can climb the Washington Monument just riding up and down one of those two devices all day long. You can walk 20 miles by just sitting in your easy chair and swinging your arm by the side of the chair. You can fib all day long on how much exercise you are getting.

I'm going to tell y'all where Dwayne and Sharra are located. They are in:

"The Eastern United States or the American East, ... defined by some as the states east of the Mississippi River, and is traditionally divided by the Ohio River and Appalachian Mountains into the South, the Old Northwest and the Northeast."

Ain't that right Dwayne!
Thanks we went out today and tripled the milage lol

Hey Barb. I'm not aware of any cell towers that are out of commission. As for the flooding, several areas of the city were hit hard; I'm not sure about your brother's location. The SJ River Authority is releasing water from Lake Conroe and a lot of water is headed downstream. Our son lives in Conroe and I don't know of any flooding there.

I was just thinking that Friday will be the anniversary of Dunner's death. I can't believe it's been a year already.
