Thanks for asking Mel. I am capsazian covered - medicated and still hurt a pit . Really odd. A first for my back in a long long time.

Tried to text you last night and the return came back - "I think you meant this for someone else"...

Did you get in rouch with Jeanie and Dave?

I have not been to Davis Mountains in many years. It is a great place. It's a one of a kind type of place.

Just for you, Kate and Lubbock...

I have a ponder. If you can brake a transmission and a transfer case at the same time does it make you real jeeper or just unlucky?

Sue and I received a nice email this morning from the USDA Farm Services Agency. It declared that with effect from today and under the 2014 Farm Bill, subsidies may be claimed by farmers who farm, harvest and transport Biomass.

So I went ahead and pulled some weeds that were engulfing the shed's Dish antenna (used to keep Bella's receiver authorized).

I now have to find a market for this Biomass as I don't think our local elevator will take it.

My bro and SIL have been to that state park many times and always stay in the old lodge. They tell us that area is hauntingly beautiful. They keep going back. So, we want to see it! Never been there.

The McDonald observatory is nearby and they tell us to be sure and do the tour there.

Then there is always Palo Duro Canyon in October....... Decisions, decisions ......

Lol.... Had to look it up, and guess what..... That was on our first rv road trip..... November 2011...
Drove to Tucson and then back that way... Spent 3 nights in Fort Davis,
Was pretty, but not excessivly so, in my mind....
But NO TOAD, so we were limited in what and how far.... Did a lot of walking in Ft Davis.....
That is a 2 day drive for us, but who knows..... It is close to where Sohapi (Colleen) will be...

I'm going with unlucky. And then there's the unknown quantity of what came before you got her.

That's always been in the back of my mind on buying pre-owned jeeps. Around Dallas the used market was split between high miles, rode hard, and handful of cream puffs.

Define cream puff...because that sounds like the one I would go for and I want to be sure it would be the right thing!

The one I just traded in was the cream puff...... 12,000 actual miles.... Driven, a few more towed,
But the jeep dealer knew it... Gave us top dollar trade... So they knew what they will get for it....

If memory serves me, 2011 was a terrible drought year and the entire state was a tinderbox ... Especially the far west / trans Pecos region, where Davis Mts are. I believe the area has received rain this year to green it up. My bro says you need to able to drive to some areas of the park to get the full impact.

But if you can make that drive in 2 days, my hats off to you! It's a really long way from central Arkansas! Palo Duro Canyon, on the other hand, might be a much easier 2-day drive for y'all.

But we will have Mutant family in the Davis Mts area soon, and that is a strong pull ....

Isn't it fun to dream?!

Thanks for the nod to Buddy's home town. Probably our most famous son.

Don't know why you got that reply back! Of course, I was in the mts at our cottage, so sometimes service is sketchy.

Don't really need to talk with J & D, just want to send them something.

We are looking forward to taking Bow to Davis Mts some day....maybe sooner than later.

Get well, my friend! Ommmmmmmmmmssssss to you!

That sounds good to me lol. Ok I might be prejudice concerning the location lol. Hunter don't get vaca for a year since it's a new company but we can do weekends and possibly a long weekend by October if it's not close by,
