Looks like we will journey over to Yankton tomorrow. Going to see of we can find a guide to take us fishing next week on Lake Lewis and Clark. Who says full timing isn't like a vacation every day?

Called the shop today to check on CR-V Mutant. Seem to be more confused after the call. The car is in the paint shop and still expected to be there until the 29th. Seems odd but who knows.

As herb Herby says.
2 on the side. Lol.

We got a personalized tour of the dredge today by DH's brother who is workkamping there. We got to go up to the top where others aren't allowed. And we came out alive. Well...I think we are. If you don't want lots of people around, don't go on memorial weekend, july 4th, or labor day weekend. It turns from a town of a few hundred to thousands in the blink of an eye. There is a lot of history in this area.

Good morning mutants near and far! Beautiful morning here in Salem, SD. 67 degrees and a slight breeze. High today of 80 and partly cloudy. It's the kind of day we all seek on the rainbow.

The little park is great and quite a few folks moved in for the weekend or have moved on after a good nights sleep.

We are enjoying the morning and looking forward to visiting Yankton toady. Have been reading about DeSmet SD - prarie home of Laura Ingles Wilder. The largest natural lake in SD is there and they have fishing guides there as well. Since we're here a while will probably check out both areas before deciding on a guide. Looks like 4 days of some chance of rain beginning Wednesday. Hope we don't get rained out... or can work it in sooner than later.

Hope everyone has a great day on the rainbow, wherever you are.

It's just the typical weather for this time of year in the the Dakotas. With sunrise at 5:45 am and sunset 9:15 pm a day has all kinds of weather. Lol. I like it when the rain is gone by 4 pm - still have 5 hours of good picnic table and site seeing time! Right now it's about as nice as it gets.

Welcome home! Ain't it grand to be back on the rainbow? Enjoy the journey!

Our rainbow is anchored at the S&B for most of the summer, but that's okay. We have to pay tax on it anyway. 😁 Next up is probably the trip to Papa Thor's in Elkhart to have hail damage repaired. CL was truly an adventure this year, and the stories continue.

Happy trails to you. Glad you're back!

Cheers!

Great to hear from you two. Annie asks about ya all the time. I say - well Tom is still trying to be discovered by a NY agent...

Report in as your journey unfolds!

Looks like a nice place Steve. We're back in Eureka,CA where we started 10 months ago today. We made it from Elkins,WV to Redding,CA in 6 days. That's about 300 miles a day more than I usually drive.

Mom had to cancel the surgery, so that made the trip unnecessary, but we're making up for it seeing family and friends. We're going to stay here until the 26th, then I think we're going to Or,Id,Mt,Nd,and Mn. Hope to get to Bryce to see you, and to meet the other Mutants.

Safe Travels,
Tom,Kim,Diesel, and Indy boy.
