My travel plans are squarely rooted in "A/C, have one but never want to use it." Summers in Seattle go a long way towards that objective. The Pacific Ocean is nature's A/C and staying close really helps you keep your cool.

I'm considering going to AZ this coming winter, but am trying to figure out the best dates so that I can avoid using heat or A/C as much as possible.

Deb and Dale,

I hope your night is cooler than 98*. That will certainly make caching more challenging. Good luck!

You are correct. Even MARLG has taken a back burner to mutation. I suppose that's only natural!
Steve, I did not intend to suggest that you weren't providing more than what was expected from this group of STMs. But with all the new inductees and nearly 40K posts, I realize that we may need to give the newbies a bit of help getting up to speed.

When I started listing mutantisms I was expecting there to be hundreds, but it turns out that we really only have a few that are unique to RVMdom. The list I started includes many that are common on IRV2 that we mutants use as well.

Mutate on my brother! MARLG will happen in it's own time. And I have added MARLG to the Lexicon. Thanks!

AZ winter Dec to Mar. But that depends on where in AZ. QZ or Yuma earlier and later if you're in the mountains.

We are all anxious to proofread the draft manuscript of "Murder at Rope Light Gulch". I'm hoping it will explain the disappearance of John Galt.

Ok so an up date on our MH. Where do I start all fluids are charged, needs exhaust manifold I broke a brake line yesterday must fix to day. Fixed steering stabilizer. Not putting a washer in to much work to little time. Turning rotors today. Tune up and manifold if I can find one. So good morning everyone.

I'm fixing my Aqua Hot system today. Hopefully that fixes the endless hot water that wasn't endless!
Getting ready for our first outing this year.

Good Morning all.. Happy Saturday.
DD and future SI cancelled our play day...no roller coasters for me.
But the weather looks great and am about ready to mount solar panels on the roof of MH. Wish me luck.....

Take care now.
Actually there are two methods for obtaining the registration sticker. (We only change plates every 7 years). The vehicle must be inspected no more than 90 days prior to expiration of registration. Inspection is sent electronically to the DMV office and entered into the system (Takes 24 hours). Once inspected, show up in person with paperwork provided by inspection station and no need to wait the 24 hours, or go on-line and apply for registration and it will be mailed.

Seems that last part about on-line is the same. You area must have duplicated Texas's on-line procedure.

Needless to say, this is the first time we have needed to use it in our new TT. We are in Pasco WA which is in the desert. It is in the 100's here. When we got back after lunch, it was 99 inside our camper. The air was not even coming out of the vents. Luckily, we are parked a block from the dealer where we got it so we called and they sent out a repairman. When the guy took off the cover, a lose wire plopped down which should have been connected. It tells the unit to shut down when too much ice builds up. So we had to suffer awhile for the ice bridge to melt before we could plug the wire back in and cool off the trailer. We were gone most of the night for a geocaching event, so we are just now trying to cool down the trailer. I have a feeling it will be a long night. Maybe when I wake, I will be skinnier from being in a sauna all night? It is now 98 inside!
Oow! I hate when that happens. FYI - I have been told that AC's in RV will keep the inside cool to about 15˚ and sometimes 20˚ cooler than the outside temperature. At one point in our travels it was over 100˚ and the AC was sure struggling. I went to Lowe's and picked up a roll of "space bubble" (Aluminum foil) and cut it to the shape of the big windows. When I pushed them into place the temperature dropped another 5˚ in a matter of minutes. I store 6 cut pieces in the closet standing up against the back wall.

Just saying!

Dang! If you keep braking things you'll never get on the road.

Rich & Val,

Welcome to the other side of the universe. Just follow the rainbow.

I'm the intelligent sane one of this group. You can just call me "Slim."

Also, when you get indoctrinated to the alternative means of communications, I have a theme song that I send out upon request. All the Mutants love it. All you have to do is request it.

Guess I have been lucky, Les. So far just normal PM and replace one screaming circulation pump (pound head on wooden cupboards for luck). Was your a stir pump? Don't know where mine are, don't wanna find out.

Hey Ed!
I have all of the HAIL stuff done except one last step. I got both inner/outer skylight parts, but weather kept me inside, so only in inside bubble is done.
And as I looked at the temporary plexiglass cover you and I crafted in HS, I thought "why not make it 3 layers?" So I plan to mount the outer bubble on the plexiglass!
Oh Yeah! More insulation.
Um....whatcha think?
