Quiet day here in Nebraska. A little on the warm side. Chose nap over swimming today. The big decision facing us now is delivered pizza or cafe for chicken fried steak. Decisions. Decisions.

And the choice is ... ?
Here it'll be a whole chicken (pasture raised on my friend's farm) with garlic and fresh rosemary tucked under its skin and into the cavity, roasting all afternoon in the crockpot. Boy does the kitchen smell wonderful!
Freshly picked black raspberries with a little sugar and some half & half make a fine dessert. For some. Not everyone likes em the way I do. 😘
Pizza? Not many dishes. Café? None. Hmmm.
BTW, ask if Annie remembers the green table favor she gave me, a funky TT birdhouse complete with pink flamingo and palm tree. The wrens are nesting in it just outside our kitchen door. 😄 Mutating wrens.

Of course we remember! That's awesome. Pizza and wings will carry the day. Can get a pic - or are the like wrens at Annies mom and dads. They are quick entry and exit specialists. Hard to capture with a camera.

I have a feeling that we will see a photo of whatever the meal decision turns out to be.

Hey all of you Muties that have already been to Bryce, what is the mosquito factor like ?
Here in Lower Michigan they are out in droves and attacking at any given chance, I mean it's a nasty crop this year.

The NPS has this to say...
"More Things Bug Us Than We Know!
Little is known about the insects of Bryce Canyon. Forty-five species of butterflies and moths have been identified, so it is very likely that we have well over 1,000 different species of insects overall. On the other hand, many park visitors favorably remark on how few of the most loathsome insects such as mosquitoes, flies, and gnats we actually have."

Soup was at my house... Chicken noodle with the homemade noodles... Had dried some noodles and frozen some noodles, trying to see which did better.... No difference in taste or texture... Dried were more fragile....
