That may be…birds taste buds are less sensitive so it takes really spicy stuff for them to notice. Perhaps by putting the hot pepper in the seed, squirrels have a more sensitive palette and that's why.

Our eight jabber jaws (parrots of the talkative variety) love hot stuff, too. We make fresh chop every week, and throw in pilipili peppers, jalapeños and the like, and they gobble them up. They even like the seeds.

Is the other key the ten acre flat and vacant parking lot? A friend brought his 45' Prevost into my parking lot and 30 minutes later he was still trying to get it squared away. The same lot that I can do figure eights in backwards! His wife, and my wife got bored watching and went across the street for ice cream.

I've always said that if you grew up on a farm, and learned to back four wheeled trailers with a three wheeled tractor, you can handle any tight RV parking situation.

Truth is... I pulled right. Went left and cut it in like nobody's business and that's all I have to day about that..

Meaning ... you did a left flanking frontal assault, and not a retrograde power drift?

But the way, if you want to do a nicely worded Shakespearian retort, here is a neat crib sheet:

All my critter care clients were in a tizzy this evening, not eating, etc. They sure don't like fireworks! keep an eye on your critters so they don't end up lost folks!

Sena isn't bothered, but Lily has stuck to me like Velcro for days, quivering with fear every time she hears a distant firecracker pop. We'll both be glad when the neighborhood boys run out.

One would think going out into the countryside for a few days would help... but around here, they are not allowed in town and town comes out here....

They are banned in Seattle also, but it doesn't seem like anyone knows that -- even the police who have a substation about a mile away.
