Yep. If I come in from the South, that is my route. Will have time for re-do day at the North Rim!

Go south young mutant and see the north...

You will have Raton Pass entering New Mexico and Flagstaff in Az... both are no problem. And you can get green and red chile for breakfast lunch and dinner in Abq... yum.

Ok for those following "The Mystery of The Toad Lights".

How this happened, I don't know! Luckily I had a test light so I started with the
Pollock 7 pin receptical on MH. All was as it should be, plunged in umbilical cord that has a 7 pin plug on each end and tested the loose end. Problem, nothing worked! Took apart the two ends to find the ground was loose on one. Fixed the ground and plugged in to MH and Toad and right turn made both tail lights flash!

This was late last night, rain and darkness set in so I moved inside. Using a 18 volt battery from my drill I fashioned a continuity test and found two wires were connected to wrong terminals on opposite ends. Humm! So now I'm wondering was that done on purpose to match how the toad was wired.

Changed the wires to how they should be and read up on toad wiring this morning before stepping outside just in case I have to redo the toad.

Plugged in cord, everything works correctly. Now how did those wires get crossed? I can understand that the ground might have rattled loose, but the wiring changed is different.

Steve after seeing your bill for a lightbulb I couldn't even bring myself to laugh. Did I ever tell you how much I love RVing! Lol

Guess what that means... Hint: First Ever...

Any takers??? The place looks to be very nice and it's been on my list for well over a year. About time I get there...

Possum - closer to home! See how the mutant presents the bait, the fish can't resist...
We may be late getting to Bryce, BUT maybe McCall can fit into our plans.. Will be watching for details...

Thanks

And a few more... so ok, Murkers and Lurkers alike... this group of mutants are more fun than a barrel of monkeys! And they are all extremely fine people. Annie and I are so proud to be a part of this curious group. You are all very special to us...

We bypassed Denver altogether by going south at Limon on 24 - which brings you onto 25 on the southern outskirts of Colorado Springs. Then 25 to Alburquque. 40 to Kingman where you face another choice... 93 north to Vegas through Lake Mead and a couple 6% grades and the new bridge. It's not bad and we did it, but others suggested going to Laughlin via 68 / 163 to 95 north and bypassing the Hoover Dam experience. You can then take a bypass 604 over to 15 and 15 up to Bryce.

The route from Limon to Abq was about 325 further than 70 to Ruby's I believe but I feel pretty sure it's the same amount of time and possibly less than working your way through Colorado and Utah.

Now if'n you meet up with MMDC and PTJEEP in Hays.. you can follow them through the rockies... again - if only traversing mountains - and not getting to stay and enjoy them - I don't see the need to do it. After all, it's not your Colorado journey. It's your journey to Bryce. I always feel a little cheated when I have to keep my eye on the road and Annie is ooooh and ahhhing the cliff in the air - or the sites. I'm watching for falling rock and she's looking a raft full of people or people fishing etc.

That's my 25 cents...
